Newcastle ready to spend £55m to recruit Elanga

Newcastle "plays big" with Elanga

According to Sky Sports, Newcastle have agreed to spend £55 million to recruit Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest. The Nottingham team has been swayed by this attractive offer and Elanga is likely to soon complete a medical to officially join St James' Park.

Elanga has previously expressed his desire to play for a team that has a place in the Champions League. If the deal is successful, he will be Newcastle's most notable signing this summer, after Antonio Cordero (from Malaga, free transfer) and Vakhtang Salia (Dinamo Tbilisi, undisclosed fee).

Arsenal still have difficulty with Gyokeres

Despite agreeing personal terms with Viktor Gyokeres, Arsenal have yet to agree a price with Sporting Lisbon. According to The Guardian, the latest offer of £56m upfront, plus £12.9m in performance-related add-ons, has been rejected by Sporting.

The Portuguese club are demanding a flat fee of £60.3m, plus £8.6m in add-ons. Arsenal are likely to have to make concessions if they want the Swedish striker ahead of their Asian tour.

Theo Hernandez "changed his life" when joining Al Hilal

Italian media reported that AC Milan have agreed to sell Theo Hernandez to Al Hilal for 25 million euros. The French left-back has also finalized personal terms and is preparing to go to Saudi Arabia for a medical.

Theo Hernandez will receive a salary of up to 20 million euros/year after tax - 4 times higher than the 5 million euros/year (before tax) he received at Milan.

Football transfer news 8.7: Man United can
Greenwood is on Al Ahli's radar

Man United can "make a fortune" thanks to Greenwood

According to the Spanish website Fichajes, Al Ahli has submitted a 70 million euro offer to recruit Mason Greenwood from Marseille. The Ligue 1 team will find it difficult to refuse this attractive price, while Al Ahli is willing to pay a very high salary for Greenwood.

If the deal goes through, United will benefit greatly from the 50% future transfer fee clause they included when they sold Greenwood to Marseille last summer. Given Al Ahli’s “huge” price tag, rivals such as Barcelona and Juventus may be forced to back out – unless Greenwood himself doesn’t want to go to Saudi Arabia.

Man United raise price for Onana

The Daily Star reports that Manchester United are ready to sell goalkeeper Andre Onana for £30m. Currently, only AS Monaco have expressed interest in signing the Cameroonian goalkeeper, but this price may make the Principality team hesitate.

Onana has yet to gain confidence under coach Ruben Amorim. Man United are currently targeting Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), but their priority is still the striker, central midfielder and centre-back positions.

De Paul has only 1 year left on his contract with Atletico

Atletico sends "ultimatum" to De Paul

According to AS, Atletico Madrid are ready to sell Rodrigo De Paul if the Argentine midfielder does not agree to a new contract in the coming weeks. De Paul's current contract has only one year left and coach Diego Simeone is worried that he could lose him for free in the summer of 2026.

Inter Miami is closely monitoring the situation and could bring De Paul to MLS in the near future.

Napoli reject offer for Osimhen

Napoli have rejected a £47.3m bid from Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen, Sky Italy reports. The Italian club are demanding a £64.5m release clause if they want to sign the Nigerian striker.

Osimhen has only one year left on his contract with Napoli. If they do not negotiate, the Diego Armando Maradona team could leave for free next year. Al Hilal were interested in Osimhen, but he refused to move to Saudi Arabia.

Crystal Palace dominate Calabria deal

Davide Calabria – former AC Milan captain – is currently a free agent after his contract expired. Last season, he was loaned to Bologna and played 27 times in all competitions.

Crystal Palace are leading the race to sign the 28-year-old right-back, with La Liga clubs Celta Vigo, Real Betis and Mallorca also said to be interested in the Italian.
