Song Bung 4 Hydropower Plant under Song Bung Hydropower Company is one of the important hydropower plants in the Vu Gia - Thu Bon river system with an installed capacity of 156MW. Put into operation since September 2014, the plant has affirmed its role in providing stable renewable energy for the Central region.
Since the beginning of 2024, the accumulation of enough water to reach the normal water level has created favorable conditions for the plant to optimize its bidding plan in the electricity market.
The bids of Song Bung Hydropower Company always closely follow the actual water source developments, ensuring that the power generation schedule is arranged reasonably by the National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO).
To achieve the above-planned results, Song Bung Hydropower Company has implemented a series of synchronous solutions, including accelerating the progress of periodic maintenance and repair, replacing old equipment with new modern technology; mobilizing the maximum number of technical staff and contractors to quickly handle defects, ensuring safe and reliable operation of generators.
