Napoli want to sell Osimhen in the summer transfer window of 2025, with a €75 million release clause applicable to clubs outside Serie A. Al-Hilal agreed to pay the full amount to activate the Nigerian striker's release clause.
Al-Hilal are trying to bring Osimhen to the team as soon as possible to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Under the guidance of coach Simone Inzaghi, the Saudi team also offered the striker a huge contract worth 30 million euros per season. However, Osimhen decided to reject that offer.
According to The Athletic , Osimhen's rejection of Al-Hilal is considered final. The striker expressed his desire to continue playing in Europe. Galatasaray may return with another offer to buy Osimhen. During his loan in Istanbul, Osimhen scored 37 goals in 41 matches in all competitions.
A year ago, Osimhen turned down Chelsea's offer because his salary was not as good as Napoli's, which was around 11 million euros a year. Negotiations with Saudi Arabian clubs also failed, and he ended up going on loan to Galatasaray.
