Belgium is known as a country with ancient and massive architectural buildings.

Its long history has left Belgium with a unique heritage of beautiful cities.

When arriving in Belgium, one of the first stops that you cannot miss is the cities: Brussels, Bruges, Ghent, Namur...

Each place has its own beauty in architecture and culture. Among them, Brussels, considered the cultural cradle and center of the European Union, has outstanding architecture and large squares.

One of them is the Grand Place, a landmark in Brussels that is considered a symbol of Belgium. It was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1998.

The square is surrounded by beautiful Gothic buildings from the 15th century. In particular, the Town Hall with its towering bell tower is one of the most prominent buildings here.

It would be a big mistake not to mention the bronze statue of Manneken Pis (peeing boy) - a cultural symbol of Brussels.

This is one of the most famous sculptures in the world by master sculptor Jerome Duquesnoy, completed in 1619. Nearly 200 years later (in 1817), the statue of the little boy Manneken Pis was replaced with a bronze statue.
