Vietnam Disability Fashion Show (VDFS) 2025 marks the first time there has been a fashion show dedicated to people with disabilities on a national scale, contributing to raising social awareness while opening up opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in careers in the field of fashion design and production.

The program is organized by HGI Group in coordination with the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities and the Vietnam Center for VocationalEducation and Capacity Development for People with Disabilities.

The founder and Head of the Organizing Committee is designer and businesswoman Ngo Diem Huong - who has many years of experience in fashion and community activities.

At the press conference, Ms. Diem Huong said that the team had been nurturing the idea and planning for implementation for about a year, with the hope that Vietnam Disability Fashion Show 2025 would not only honor the beauty of will and determination, but also be a turning point promoting the integration of people with disabilities into cultural, artistic and social life.

"We chose the theme for the first season as The Shape of Will, because a broken heeled shoe can still step onto the stage. And at that moment, beauty appears most clearly - beauty because of faith and desire to be recognized like everyone else", emphasized the representative of the Organizing Committee.

The two ambassadors accompanying VDFS 2025 were announced as Miss Vietnam 2024 Ha Truc Linh and speaker Nguyen Son Lam.

Miss Truc Linh expressed her admiration for the spirit and strong will of the disabled community - people who silently overcome their limits, gradually redefining beauty with their own will to live.

The two ambassadors of the program shared sincere and emotional stories.

Speaker Nguyen Son Lam, who once conquered Fansipan peak despite being only 83cm tall, is an unlucky person but has risen up and become an influential figure. He has persistently inspired not only the disabled community, but also the whole society through volunteer, communication and educational activities over the years.

Also at the event, a fashion show took place with the confident and professional participation of disabled models, in designs suitable for each person.

The small show at the press conference received enthusiastic cheers and support from the audience.

The Vietnam Disability Fashion Show 2025 is scheduled to take place on August 4 at the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Hanoi ), a space where art, culture and national spirit intersect.

The show will bring together 54 disabled models - representing 54 ethnic groups, as a brilliant symphony of the spirit of overcoming oneself and the diverse beauty of the Vietnamese people.

One of the highlights of the program is the launch of the Kind Fashion Closet community project with 3 main activities: Kind Fashion Closet (building wardrobes at vocational training centers, disabled people's associations and schools); Kind Fabric Contribution (collecting and recycling excess fabric from garment factories and businesses); Kind Design ( inviting designers and the community to create clothes suitable for the physical condition and wishes of disabled people).

The event is expected to be an inspiring start for a humane fashion playground, contributing to promoting social integration, for a future where no one is left behind.
