On the evening of July 15, right after the final match between Vietnam Police II and Cambodia ended, the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament was solemnly held.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh , Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Mr. Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In addition, there were leaders of central agencies, ministries and branches.
The players of CAND Vietnam II played better than their opponents.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Major General Pham Kim Dinh, Director of X03, Deputy Head of the tournament's Organizing Committee, affirmed: After 10 days of exciting, enthusiastic competition filled with the noble sportsmanship of 08 teams from 07 countries: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Timor Leste, Singapore, Australia and host country Vietnam, the tournament was a great success, leaving a deep impression on each team, each player participating in the tournament, as well as the large audience.
He also emphasized: Through this year's tournament, we hope that the ASEAN Police Football Tournament will be an annual activity held in rotation in each country. Through sports exchanges, it will be a bridge for the Police forces of ASEAN countries to continuously connect and strengthen close cooperation in ensuring security, order, fighting and preventing crimes, especially transnational crimes; contributing to ensuring peace, security, safety, stability and prosperity in the region and the world .
Vietnam Police Team II won the championship convincingly and deservedly.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented awards to the teams and individuals with outstanding achievements in this year's tournament. The champion team, CAND Vietnam II, received the Championship Cup and a prize worth 30,000 USD. The runner-up, Cambodia, received a prize of 15,000 USD, while the two third-place teams, Thailand and Timor Leste, were awarded 5,000 USD each.
In addition, individual awards were also honored. Player Tran Duc Nam (CAND Vietnam II) won two titles: Top scorer (8 goals) and Best Player of the tournament. Goalkeeper Nattawoot Saengdara (Thailand) was awarded the title of Best Goalkeeper. The Style title belonged to the Laos team.

According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, this year's tournament brought many exciting, dramatic and professional matches, especially the final match between the Vietnam Police II team and Cambodia. Not only a sporting event, the tournament is also an opportunity for regional teams to exchange, learn, improve their physical strength and tactics, and experience the culture and landscapes in Vietnam.
“We hope that in the future, there will be more similar tournaments organized. This is a meaningful playground, contributing to strengthening the relationship between police forces of different countries through sports - a symbol of training spirit, will and progress”, Mr. Do Vinh Quang emphasized.
