In his opening speech, Minister Nguyen Kim Son emphasized the key role of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the development of theeducation sector. This is not only a technical task but also a strategic requirement, having a direct impact on training quality, management capacity and the ability to adapt to new social requirements.
The Minister said that the Government always pays close attention to this field. Key programs and projects such as Project 06 have been implemented synchronously from the central to local levels, creating a foundation to promote digital transformation throughout the industry.
According to the Minister, this is a favorable time for the education sector to promote the achieved results, continue to promote innovation and effectively utilize scientific and technological achievements to improve the quality of education, towards a modern, integrated and sustainably developed education.

In the interim report, Mr. Pham Quang Hung, Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Information, said: In the first 6 months of 2025, tasks related to science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation and implementation of Project 06 have achieved many positive results; many key tasks were completed on schedule. The Ministry of Education and Training regularly reviews, updates and urges units to perform their tasks. The industry's online public services have many positive improvements...
Difficulties and obstacles, as well as recommendations for more effective implementation of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation tasks, are also specifically stated in the report.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, highly appreciated the report of the Department of Science, Technology and Information and requested to strengthen the completion of slow tasks.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of monitoring and reporting daily progress, ensuring accurate, timely and transparent direction and management; and enhancing the responsibility of heads of units. The Ministry's Inspection Committee will soon conduct inspections and supervision of the implementation of key programs in the fields of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06.

Concluding the conference, Minister Nguyen Kim Son emphasized the need to complete legal documents, create a legal corridor for digital transformation, innovation and implementation of Project 06. The tasks in the last 6 months of the year require high concentration from leaders to each officer and specialist. The tasks with specific completion times were also assigned by the Minister to each relevant unit, in order to promote this work.
