Connecting from data to market
In the digital transformation phase that is entering its depth, bringing science and technology products to the digital environment is no longer simply a technical operation, but has become a strategic solution to develop the local digital economy - where data, technology and markets are connected in real time.
The HueEcom platform, deployed by the Department of Science and Technology, is playing an important role as a bridge between e-commerce platforms - suppliers - consumers. Integrated into Hue-S, this platform allows individuals and organizations to open booths and connect with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada..., especially prioritizing specialty products and science and technology products originating from Hue . Up to now, 1,329 products have been updated to the system, of which 839 products are being traded regularly.
Mr. Pham Dinh Quy Thich, owner of Hue sim wine production facility, said: “Since I learned about HueEcom, I have found this to be a potential commercial channel, very suitable for promoting Hue branded products. With its professionalism and wide reach, HueEcom helps us reach consumers more easily. I will soon register my business on this platform.”
Not stopping at the commercial platform, the Center for Monitoring and Operation of Smart Cities has built a specialized page of Science and Technology products integrated on the Department's Electronic Information Portal, which is both a tool for digitalization and data standardization, and a transparent communication channel, supporting businesses and scientists to approach the market in a practical way. Maintaining regular weekly communication for each product is not only for promotion but also a clear commitment of the city to accompany the science and technology community.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nhat Phuong, Director of SBC Hoang Gia Company Limited shared: “In less than 3 hours, the entire support process from reviewing and evaluating documents to communicating products was implemented methodically and professionally. We are truly grateful for the responsible support from the Department.”
The Science and Technology product page also creates a source of interconnected, public, and transparent data, contributing to expanding the market for local research results and innovative products. This model operates in accordance with the spirit of "3 houses": the State acts as a bridge, scientists provide knowledge, and businesses are the center of benefits, contributing to the formation of a modern, transparent, and interconnected science and technology ecosystem.
Enhancing digital literacy for all through digital skills and utilities
In the process of building digital government and smart cities, the city focuses on improving community digital capacity so that each citizen is not only a beneficiary but also a master of the digital environment.
In its leading role, the Department of Science and Technology has organized digital skills training for nearly 600 officials, civil servants, and public employees and disseminated knowledge to more than 1,105 members of the Community Digital Technology Team in 141 wards and communes. Along with that, the online learning system on the Hue-S platform has become the main training tool, with 16 basic lecture clips on the use of digital signatures, electronic identification, cashless payments, network security, etc., attracting more than 95,000 students and nearly 700,000 learning sessions.
In addition to basic education, specialized training programs such as those on the Mobiedu.vn platform or the digital security course on dean06.daotao.ai continue to expand the depth of access. This is not just a professional action, but a multi-layered approach strategy, bringing digital skills to the community in a systematic and sustainable manner.
On the Hue-S platform, the digital service ecosystem is increasingly expanding in the direction of "one-touch": from paying for electricity, water, hospital fees, tuition fees, to retrieving records, reporting on the scene, interacting with state management agencies... Up to now, the city has had more than 77,877 FPT wallet accounts and nearly 173,000 Viettel Money accounts operating on Hue-S, with 694 payment acceptance points covering the area. In the education sector alone, 189 schools have implemented tuition collection via Hue-S with a total transaction value exceeding 23 billion VND.
According to the Department of Science and Technology, on the solid digital data foundation that has been built, the city has been implementing a series of comprehensive smart urban services, bringing practical and specific benefits to people and businesses, while clearly improving the efficiency of state management. These services are not just simple technology applications but also a vivid manifestation of a creative government that always puts the interests of the people first.
From learning to trading, from digital skills to smart consumption, Hue people are gradually becoming the subject in the digitalization journey. This is a clear demonstration of the strategy of developing digital capacity from the grassroots - where people are placed at the center, technology is the tool and the digital environment is the real living space. When digital consumption becomes a habit, the digital economy will become the foundation.
