On the morning of July 6, local time, the same day as Vietnam time, in Rio de Janeiro, on the occasion of attending the expanded BRICS Summit and carrying out bilateral activities in Brazil, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received a number of leading Brazilian corporations and enterprises that are investing and doing business in Vietnam.

* Welcome to him Fabio Maia of Oliveira , grand leadership JBS Group, the Prime Minister highly appreciated JBS for exporting beef to Vietnam. The Prime Minister hopes that Brazil will promote Vietnam to sign the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the MERCOSUR bloc by the end of this year. At that time, JBS's business will be more favorable.

“I hope JBS will invest, produce, process, export products and do long-term business in Vietnam, especially since Vietnam has competitive advantages in the potential Chinese and ASEAN markets,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed.

Mr. Fabio Maia de Oliveira expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese and Brazilian Ministries of Agriculture for their efforts to export the first batch of beef to Vietnam. The Group hopes that Vietnam and Brazil will sign an FTA to open up more opportunities to export products to Vietnam and import Vietnamese pangasius and shrimp to Brazil.

Mr. Fabio Maia de Oliveira said that JBS can participate in expanding investment in Vietnam; at the same time, he hopes that the Vietnamese Government will continue to create conditions for JBS's strong products to penetrate the Vietnamese market. JBS has a lot of experience in investing abroad; he hopes to access the large Chinese and ASEAN markets through Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the most important thing now is for Vietnam to sign an FTA with MERCOSUR. The Prime Minister suggested that the Group could increase imports of Vietnamese products such as tra fish, tilapia, and fruits; or it could invest in Vietnam and export to surrounding markets because Vietnam has signed many FTAs ​​in the world, especially the Northeast Asian and ASEAN markets. Moreover, both countries have seaports that are very convenient for trade and logistics.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is ready to create favorable conditions for JBS to expand and invest in Vietnam. The important issue is that businesses of both sides need to strengthen their connections with each other.

Thanking the Prime Minister for his guidance, JBS leaders said that the Group will increase imports of shrimp, fish, and rice for consumption at JBS supermarkets across Brazil.

JBS Group is a world-leading group in the field of food processing (mainly animal meat products), headquartered in Brazil and representative offices in 24 countries and territories. In 2024, the Group's revenue will reach 6.3 billion USD, total assets of more than 45 billion USD with more than 273,000 employees in more than 180 markets worldwide.

The Group established JBS Vietnam Company (2014) operating in the field of frozen food distribution and JBS Couros Company (2018) operating in the field of leather production with a total investment of about 5 million USD, total output in 2019 reaching 7.5 million m2 .

* T Meeting with Mr. Jose Serrador Neto, Global Vice President, External Relations of Embraer Group , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that Vietnam is restructuring its aviation businesses, including Bamboo Airlines, which is cooperating very well with Embraer; he hopes that Embraer will support Vietnam in opening a direct flight route to Brazil. Vietnam is promoting the aviation and aerospace ecosystem, so he hopes that Embraer will cooperate and support Vietnam in promoting this field. Vietnam has Viettel Group - a multi-industry corporation that is operating strongly in South America, so Viettel can cooperate with Embraer to develop this ecosystem in the form of a joint venture, from which Embraer can penetrate the dynamic and rapidly growing Southeast Asian market.

The Embraer Group's leaders affirmed that they consider Vietnam a key partner in expanding operations in the region. The Embraer Group's leaders hope to receive support from the Brazilian Government in cooperating with Vietnam in both civil and defense fields. Embraer has the idea of ​​creating more flight routes between BRICS member countries; the important thing is to turn the idea into a concrete project.

Embraer's leadership representative also said that the group has aircraft that suit Vietnam's needs; and hopes to cooperate in technology transfer with Vietnamese partners.

He said that the demand for aircraft in the world is increasing, and for Vietnam, there is a need for many types of aircraft suitable for specific needs. In the field of aviation and space, the Group has strengths and is ready to cooperate with Vietnam. These programs, if supported by the Brazilian Government, will be financially sponsored for project development.

An Embraer representative said that the Group is cooperating with Vietnam Airlines to study the possibility of providing aircraft with a capacity of about 150 passengers, as well as the ability to ensure maintenance right in Vietnam. This type of aircraft is suitable for Vietnam, especially the flight route to Con Dao. The strength of this type of aircraft is for medium-range, low noise, and is not "picky" about airports. Embraer hopes to help Vietnam Airlines modernize its fleet. Embraer hopes that the two sides can come up with a specific cooperation program.

Supporting Embraer's goodwill to cooperate, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Viettel Group has the capacity to join Embraer in the space research program. Viettel will be Embraer's gateway to the Southeast Asian market, and vice versa, Embraer will be Viettel's gateway to South America.

The Prime Minister hopes that Embraer will influence the Brazilian Government so that Vietnam can soon sign an FTA with the MERCOSUR bloc as well as an Investment Protection Agreement. On this occasion, the Prime Minister invited Embraer to participate in the Vietnam Defense Exhibition in 2026. The Prime Minister said that there are still many opportunities for cooperation between the two sides, the problem is to resolve the legal basis to realize this cooperation prospect.

The Prime Minister said that Vietnam has signed FTAs ​​with more than 65 countries in the world. If Vietnam signs an FTA with MERCOSUR from now until the end of the year, it will be favorable for both sides in the context of rapidly changing world trade. The two sides need to establish a relationship to research the space ecosystem. In implementation, there should be agreements related to trade and investment protection to increase competitiveness.

The Prime Minister hopes that Embraer will actively support the opening of a route from Vietnam to Brazil. Embraer can cooperate with Vietnam Airlines in aircraft maintenance and repair. Vietnam considers Brazil a key cooperation point in South America.

Embraer leaders said that if Vietnam signs an FTA with MERCOSUR, the Group will also benefit; thanked and appreciated the Prime Minister's proposal on cooperation with Viettel Group. Embraer hopes that the Prime Minister will support Embraer's cooperation with Vietnamese partners. The Group considers Vietnam a focus of cooperation in the region.

The Prime Minister said that immediately after returning home, the Vietnamese Government will send a working delegation to Brazil to discuss FTA negotiations with MERCOSUR.

Embraer Group (founded in 1969) is a multi-industry group, operating mainly in the aviation and aerospace industry, 51% owned by the Brazilian Government. Embraer Group is the world's third largest commercial aircraft manufacturer (after Airbus and Boeing), with three main product groups: (i) narrow-body aircraft (E175, E190); (ii) military aircraft (C-390, R-99); (iii) private/private aircraft. Cooperation with Vietnam: Bamboo Airways has operated 5 Embraer aircraft in Vietnam (2020-2023). Currently, Embraer is continuing to discuss with domestic partners (such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet) to expand cooperation with Vietnam.

* Receiving Mr. Daniel Lopes, Vice President of FS Company, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Vietnam is implementing the Net Zero strategy, therefore, it needs biofuels and bioenergy. Vietnam hopes that FS will cooperate with Vietnamese energy corporations in this field. Regarding cooperation between the two governments, between Vietnam and the MERCOSUR bloc, Vietnam has discussed with the President of Brazil, Vietnam will sign an FTA with the MERCOSUR bloc and initiate negotiations on the Investment Protection Agreement between the two sides. Therefore, the Prime Minister hopes that Brazilian corporations and enterprises will work with Vietnam to expedite this work.

FS leaders said that the Company's main business is ethanol trading; highly appreciated Vietnam's policy of reducing emissions; said that the Company has a very unique formula for producing ethanol from corn, and can cooperate with Vietnam in this field.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hopes that the company will support Vietnam in producing ethanol right in Brazil because the land is very large; therefore, the Group can cooperate with Petrovietnam Group; or can support Vietnam in growing corn to produce ethanol...

The leader of FS Company said that in Brazil, not only does it advocate E10 ethanol gasoline, but it must also move towards producing gasoline higher than E10, and is ready to cooperate with Petrovietnam to produce ethanol in Brazil or Vietnam. Producing ethanol from the second crop is an advanced method, better than producing ethanol from sugarcane. The company is aiming to produce increasingly greener fuel products. These are products that have been interested in and have had development policies since 30 years ago.

He affirmed that the company's ethanol is very clean and reasonably priced. In 2024, the company's ethanol was certified by ICAO as safe for operation in the aviation sector.

The Prime Minister stated that this requires cooperation from businesses under the auspices of high-level agreements between the two countries. Vietnam is currently importing ethanol from abroad, so cooperation with ethanol production companies is essential.

The Prime Minister reiterated the philosophy of football as healthy competition, aiming for beauty, and noble spirit to connect with the cooperation work of the two sides, thus calling on Brazilian businesses to influence Vietnam to be able to sign an FTA with MERCOSUR and sign an investment protection agreement with Brazil.

* Meeting with Mr. William Shuhei Fujikura, Investor Granja Fujikura Company , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh welcomed the company to Vietnam; said that Vietnam is promoting trade and investment with Brazil, therefore, very much welcomes Brazilian corporations and businesses to promote the development of this relationship.

The Prime Minister hopes that businesses will have a voice in promoting Vietnam to sign an FTA with the MERCOSUR bloc and an investment protection agreement. At the same time, the Company continues to connect with Vietnamese businesses to strengthen cooperation.

The company's leaders said that the cooperation with Trong Khoi enterprise will start from March 2024; the company specializes in producing quail eggs, supplying more than 7% of the demand for the Brazilian market; closely cooperating with livestock enterprises to provide technical guidance and consume products. The cooperation with Trong Khoi brings benefits to both sides because the company has strengths in genes, and will industrialize the livestock industry. In the future, the two enterprises will dominate the market share in both countries, bringing more benefits.

The Prime Minister welcomed the cooperation between the two sides, emphasizing that the Vietnamese Government creates all conditions for this cooperation; stating that the Government creates, while the specific implementation of cooperation is up to businesses.

Granja Fujikura is a high-tech agricultural farm in Brazil, part of the Granja Fujikura system (1970) originating from Japan. The subsidiary Fujikura Quail Genetics started raising quail in Brazil in 2003 and exported products to European and Asian markets. Currently, Fujikura Quail Genetics is the only quail breeding company operating internationally in Brazil. In 2025, Fujikura Quail Genetics visited and surveyed Vietnam and is currently planning to cooperate with Trong Khoi Company to develop quail breeding in the Vietnamese and Asian markets.
