At Henri Coanda International Airport in Bucharest, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, were Romanian Minister of Economy , Entrepreneurship and Tourism Stefan Radu Oprea; Head of the Romanian Protocol Delegation; Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Cristina Romila; Director of the Romanian Protocol and International Relations Department Oana Cozina Bercu; Vietnamese Ambassador to Romania Do Duc Thanh; officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of Vietnamese expatriates in Romania.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Romania this time is the first delegation exchange at the Prime Minister level between the two countries in 5 years; taking place in the context of the traditional relationship and cooperation between Vietnam and Romania, which has a history of more than 70 years, developing well.

During the visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is expected to hold talks and meetings with the Prime Minister, President, President of the Senate, and President of the House of Representatives of Romania. He will also visit localities and universities; attend the Vietnam-Romania Business Forum; receive representatives of the Romania-Vietnam Friendship Group and meet with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Romania.

The visit aims to further deepen the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Romania, creating momentum to promote bilateral cooperation in Romania’s strong fields and in line with Vietnam’s development needs such as agriculture, manufacturing and processing industry, healthcare, etc.; promote business cooperation, attract investment in many potential fields; contribute to facilitating Vietnam’s relations with the European Union.
