As Lao Cai Newspaper reported, due to heavy rain lasting from the night of June 26 to the morning of June 27, at 7:00 a.m., on National Highway 4 (from the center of Muong Khuong town to Tung Chung Pho, Din Chin, and Pha Long communes), a large landslide appeared at Km197+100 (in Tung Chung Pho commune), causing a complete traffic disruption.

Immediately after the landslide appeared, the Road Maintenance Management Board (Department of Construction) deployed machinery and human resources to fix the landslide. After more than 4 hours of urgent repair, at 11:20 a.m., the landslide at Km197+100 was cleared in the first step.

However, currently, the landslide area still has soil and rocks rolling down from the mountainside, so people are advised to pay attention to safety when driving through here.
