Princess Elisabeth of the Belgian Royal Family

Princess Elisabeth (22 years old) is the heir to the Belgian throne. This school year, Princess Elisabeth began studying for a master's degree in public policy at the Kennedy Institute of Harvard University (USA).

In 2021, she majored in history and politics at Lincoln College, Oxford University (UK). Elisabeth completed the program after 3 years.

Princess Elisabeth is the eldest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. Her choice of study was her own and supported by her parents. She hoped that her studies would be of the greatest help in her future succession.

The official website of the Belgian Royal Family introduces Princess Elisabeth's daily hobbies including: reading, listening to music, playing the piano, and walking in nature.

The princess is fluent in four languages: Dutch, French, German and English. She is currently working hard to learn Chinese.

During her first days living and studying in the US, Princess Elisabeth asked a male student at the same school to take pictures of her. These pictures were then sent by the princess to the Belgian Royal Family. The pictures were officially shared by the Belgian Royal Family to update the Belgian media and public about Princess Elisabeth's life in the US.

The princess's photos quickly received much praise from the public for showing her simple, sociable lifestyle.

Princess Alexia of the Netherlands

Princess Alexia is the second daughter of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Queen Maxima. At the age of 19, Princess Alexia has ended her gap year and started her student life at University College London (UK).

Alexia said she made her decision about which school to attend last minute, having previously felt stressed about having to choose a major.

Initially, Alexia was expected to attend university in her home country, like her older sister, Princess Catharina-Amalia. However, she ultimately chose to study abroad, studying science and engineering for social change at University College London.

Alexia hopes that this major will equip her with the skills needed to tackle challenging problems in society.

While majoring in science and engineering for social change, Alexia will spend 13 hours a week in class with teachers and 27 hours of independent study.

Sharing about her gap year after completing high school, Alexia said she spent time traveling , challenging herself with several job positions and gaining many useful experiences.
