Weather today 04/7: Ho Chi Minh City cloudy, afternoon showers; Hanoi showers to heavy rain

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that last night until today, July 4, the weather in the North and from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places. Rainfall is 10-30mm, with over 80mm in some places (thunderstorms are concentrated in the evening, night and morning).

Thunderstorms may include tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

From Gia Lai to Lam Dong, it is cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night, with heavy rain in some places.

Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, heavy rain in some places in the evening.

At sea, due to the influence of the tropical convergence zone connecting with the low pressure area, the Gulf of Tonkin, the northern East Sea, the central and southern East Sea (including the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa special zones), the sea area from South Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, from Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have scattered showers and thunderstorms. During the thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind level 6-7 and waves over 2m high.

In addition, the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau has strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 7, waves 2-3m high, rough seas.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
