The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just announced a plan to deploy a rotation program for leading medical specialists to work in the Con Dao special zone, aiming to improve the quality of medical services for residents and tourists there. The first rotation is scheduled to depart on September 3.

According to information provided by the Department of Health on August 26, the team of doctors participating in the first phase are all good, highly skilled experts from the top prestigious hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.

Experts come from a number of facilities such as: Binh Dan Hospital, Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Hung Vuong Hospital, Children's Hospital 1, Ho Chi Minh City Orthopedic and Trauma Hospital and Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital.

Each rotation will last one month.

The program is implemented with the view of "leaving no one behind, even in the farthest places", demonstrating the strong commitment of the Ho Chi Minh City health sector after the merger.

This is not only a professional activity but also a message of responsibility, spreading high-quality medical services to remote areas such as Con Dao. The response of the medical team in the whole industry shows the profound humanistic meaning of the program.

In addition to sending doctors on rotation, many other medical support activities will also be deployed at the Con Dao Military-Civilian Medical Center.

Hung Vuong Hospital will set up a mobile blood bank to ensure blood supply for emergency, obstetric and surgical interventions. Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital will be responsible for setting up a hemodialysis system, while Binh Dan Hospital will support the establishment of standard operating procedures for operating rooms.

All these activities will be coordinated under the direction and support of hospital leaders.

Another important task assigned by the Department of Health to the rotating doctors is to train, update professional knowledge and transfer techniques to medical staff in Con Dao. At the same time, strengthen connections and remote consultation with end-line hospitals when encountering complicated cases.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said that the list of registered participants for rotational work in Con Dao is enough to last until the end of 2026, showing the enthusiasm and responsibility of the city's medical staff.

In addition to long-term rotations, Ho Chi Minh City also conducts short-term medical examinations and treatments at specialized hospitals such as Eye, Dentistry, and Ear, Nose and Throat. The first round will take place in September, with dental care for students being provided by the Ho Chi Minh City Central Hospital of Dentistry.
