Candidates breathe a sigh of relief after finishing high school exam

BHG - On the afternoon of June 27, more than 50 independent candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program completed the final exam, which was the Foreign Language subject. Thus, after 2 days of intense exams, 7,524 candidates across the province completed their exams, officially closing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam (exam).

2025 is the first year that the exam is held simultaneously for students studying under the 2018 General Education Program and independent candidates following the 2006 program. Ha Giang has 7,154 candidates studying the new program and 370 independent candidates. This year's students have gone through a difficult exam season as this is the first year they take the exam under the new program, the first generation to study new textbooks, the innovative exam format, and have gone through 3 years of secondary school in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic and the interruption of learning in many schools due to Circular 29 on extra teaching and learning.

This year's exam was assessed by most teachers and students as being suitable, consistent with the exam structure of the Ministry of Education and Training , clearly differentiated, relevant to current events, and promoting students' qualities and abilities. The percentage of candidates taking the exam in all subjects was over 99.4%. Some of the absent candidates were mainly independent candidates.

Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Vu Thi Kim Chung said: "With careful preparation in each stage and the efforts of the students, the exam took place safely and seriously, with no teachers or students violating the exam regulations. Although this is the time when the province is in the process of merging, implementing the 2-level local government model, many officials of the Education sector are moving to Tuyen Quang to work, but immediately after the end of the exam, the Examination Council will proceed to mark the exam according to regulations and plans with the motto of mobilizing local forces, ensuring no interruptions, affecting the exam marking work and the time of announcing exam results."
