Candidates evaluate the Math exam for the 2025 high school graduation exam as highly classified

This afternoon, June 26, candidates continued to take the Math exam, the second subject of the 2025 high school graduation exam. Many candidates said that this year's math exam has a new structure, making it difficult to get a perfect score.

According to a quick report from the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri , the total number of candidates taking the Math exam was 8,967, reaching a rate of 99.52%. The number of absent candidates was 43.

At the Le Loi High School exam site (Dong Ha City), the rain at the end of the exam made the atmosphere cooler. According to the reporter's observation, students and parents all breathed a sigh of relief after completing the first day of the exam. Nguyen Nam Khanh, a candidate at the Le Loi High School exam site, assessed that this year's exam had a new structure and was more difficult than previous years. In particular, the scoring method in the form of true/false questions easily caused candidates to lose points.

“I predict that my test will get the maximum score of 8 points. Some confusing questions will cause me and my fellow candidates to lose points,” Khanh said.

According to the reporter's records this afternoon at all the examination sites in Gio Linh and Vinh Linh districts, candidates were given the most favorable conditions to take the math exam. About 30 minutes before the exam, there was a thunderstorm in Vinh Linh district, making the weather very hot, but parents still took the initiative to bring their children to the examination sites quite early.

Ms. Le Than, in Vinh Hoa, said: “Today, I put aside all my work to take my child to the exam site at Vinh Linh High School on time. Before taking the math exam this afternoon, I told my child to carefully check the necessary items and encouraged him to always be calm, confident, and review his work carefully before submitting it to achieve high results.”

Along with encouragement from their families, candidates continued to receive enthusiastic support with drinking water and necessary items from volunteers and border guards. Before and after the exam, the police force organized and performed well the task of ensuring security and order, traffic flow and was ready to help parents and candidates with travel and parking to ensure traffic safety.

Deputy Head of the examination site of Huong Hoa High School, Le Chi Thong, said that in this year's high school graduation exam, Huong Hoa High School has 423 candidates taking the Math exam. To ensure the best conditions for candidates, the school has fully prepared the examination room system, arranged according to regulations, ensuring distance, lighting, tables and chairs; there is a backup power supply plan and a plan to ensure security, order, traffic safety, and health . Functional forces such as police, health, youth union and local authorities have closely coordinated to support the school during the exam days.

Mr. Ho Cong Mac Vu in Hamlet 1, Khe Sanh town, a parent who took his child to the exam, shared that this is an important exam that determines graduation and university admission, so my child has focused on studying very carefully for this exam. Coming here to witness the preparation for the exam, I feel very secure. Right at the school gate, there are youth union members, volunteer teams always ready with everything to "Support the exam season" or the authorities are also present very early to support and guide the children to the exam room on time. This is the motivation for candidates in general and my child in particular to feel secure and complete their exam well.

Student Nguyen Duong Phuong Ny, Huong Hoa High School shared that this year's math exam was quite difficult and had a high level of differentiation. Personally, I took the Literature, History, and Geography combination exam, so the short answer and determining true or false was very difficult. Only the multiple choice part was enough to help me achieve my graduation score. For Tran Van Duc, a student at Huong Hoa High School, the math exam had similar formats to the review outline, so I was quite confident. The most difficult part was question 2 of the true or false part to differentiate students' abilities. I can confirm that I did about 70% of the exam.

After 90 minutes of taking the multiple-choice math test, many candidates at the Huong Hoa High School test site finished the test earlier than the scheduled time.

According to records, this afternoon's exam at the exam sites in Trieu Phong, Hai Lang districts and Quang Tri town took place safely and seriously. Youth volunteer teams supporting the exam season at the exam sites enthusiastically distributed free filtered water, box repair, cooling fans... to candidates and parents. At the same time, volunteers at the exam sites also arranged their motorbikes neatly and cleaned up in front of the clean exam sites.

Expressing quite confidence when completing the Math subject at this exam site, Nguyen Dinh Dai said: "For Math, I can absolutely get a high score because I did the test quite completely.

I think I will get over 8 points. Dai chose to take the Physics and Chemistry exams tomorrow. The exam results will be used to apply for his first choice to Da Nang University of Technology according to his dream.
