Outstanding women in the patriotic emulation movement exchange and share experiences.
Practicing thrift by raising piggy banks and saving money bags has long become a regular activity of members and women of Nga Son commune. This is one of the meaningful and practical activities to learn and follow Uncle Ho that the association has chosen to register to implement. Through the model, many members have the conditions to develop their economy , escape poverty, and become rich legitimately.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hang, in Trung Bac sub-area, Nga Son commune, shared: “The situation of a widowed mother and orphaned child, lacking and suffering in every way. The association lent me 38 million VND for 3 consecutive years from the savings of my sisters. I invested in buying breeding calves, after more than a year I paid the debt according to the committed timelines with the association, up to now my family's life is stable and has escaped poverty."
The women in the Nhuan Thach Clean Vegetable Cooperative in Dong Tien Ward, managed by women, always unite to overcome difficulties to produce and sell products. They constantly learn and apply scientific and technical advances to agricultural production. Ms. Thieu Thi Hien, a member of the cooperative, said: "Every year, my family has a stable income, an average of more than 10 million VND per month. My family also acts as a consumer for many other households, whose income increases by season, by year and by type of crop."
This is one of the flexible and creative ways of members and grassroots women and the drastic direction of the association at all levels in implementing the emulation movement, focusing on the field of economic development. Many association units have their own, suitable ways to help members and women develop production and start successful businesses. In 5 years (2020-2025), the association at all levels has had more than 72,000 poor households receiving help from the association in many forms, with a total value of nearly 40 billion VND. The association at all levels has secured credit with the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, entrusted with the Social Policy Bank, TYM Fund, Thanh Hoa Microfinance Organization, mobilized capital from international projects with a total balance managed by the association of over 14,000 billion VND, lending to hundreds of thousands of members and women for economic development.
Through supporting activities, the members have aroused a sense of responsibility, the spirit of mutual love and affection, encouraged creativity in women and had the power to spread to the community. The valuable thing about the women is that they are always ready to help and share with their poorer sisters through providing capital, creating jobs, sharing experiences and humanitarian and charitable activities. The highlight of the patriotic emulation movement among members and women in the province in recent years is their active participation in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. Notably, the emulation movement "Thanh Hoa women join hands to build new rural areas" is implemented in conjunction with the campaign "Building families of 5 no's, 3 clean's, contributing to fostering Vietnamese family values". In 5 years, nearly 66,000 households have achieved 8 criteria of "Family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", "Family of 5 yes's, 3 clean's", contributing to building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and civilized urban areas.
Emulating the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is one of the key contents of the patriotic emulation movement that all levels of the association focus on. The focus is on innovating working methods and styles, overcoming administrative procedures, proactively applying information technology, digital transformation in activities, improving the quality of advice, building the image of association officials with a sense of responsibility, dedication, closeness to the grassroots, "close to members, understanding members, listening to members, speaking so that members understand, doing so that members trust"... Therefore, in every field, there are typical collectives and individuals who study and follow Uncle Ho. Women in the armed forces such as soldiers, police, border guards, regardless of their position, have maintained the tradition of "Loyalty to the country, filial piety to the people" to overcome all difficulties; women working in Party, government and mass organizations have a strong political stance, a high sense of responsibility, are proactive and creative, and successfully complete assigned tasks. Many women have held and are holding important positions in the leadership apparatus of Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, and local organizations...
The results achieved demonstrate the strong vitality and endurance of the emulation movement, meeting the needs and aspirations of the majority of female members. From the emulation movement, 34,086 typical women were recognized and rewarded; 31,319 women achieved the title of "Outstanding Women"... Those results have affirmed the role and position of women in all areas of social life, contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the province.
