Nearly 1.5 billion VND more for emergency relief for people

The Vietnam Red Cross Society provided emergency relief to people in three central provinces affected by storm No. 5 (Kajiki) with a budget of nearly 1.5 billion VND.

In the face of the situation that storm No. 5 (international name Kajiki) has caused heavy damage in many localities, especially Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa provinces, on August 27, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society decided to provide emergency relief to people in 3 central provinces affected by storm No. 5 (Kajiki).

Accordingly, in order to support households in difficult circumstances, severely damaged by storm No. 5 in the three provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society decided to provide emergency relief with a total cost of nearly 1.5 billion VND.

Specifically, Thanh Hoa province was supported with 100 million VND in cash; 150 P&G water filter boxes and 100 boxes of household goods; Nghe An province with 200 million VND in cash; 100 P&G water filter boxes and 300 boxes of household goods; Ha Tinh province with 200 million VND in cash; 100 P&G water filter boxes; 400 boxes of household goods.

The Central Committee of the Association will send a working group to Ha Tinh province on August 28 and 29 to provide relief and coordinate with localities to provide timely support to help people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
