Members of An Giang Provincial People's Committee approve contents under their authority

On the afternoon of August 25, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a thematic meeting to approve the contents under the decision-making authority of the People's Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of An Giang province. Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province Ho Van Mung chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, members of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee discussed, contributed opinions, and approved documents advising the Provincial People's Committee, specifically: Approving the content of assigning civil servant payrolls in state administrative agencies, the number of people working in public service units in 2025 of An Giang province; approving cases of retirement with benefits and policies according to the Government 's regulations in Decree 178 and Decree No. 67 of the Government.

Approving the Project to establish the An Giang Provincial Development Investment Fund on the basis of merging the Kien Giang Development Investment Fund and the An Giang Development Investment Fund; approving the draft submission for registration to build a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of expenses for reception, visits and congratulations for a number of subjects implemented by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in An Giang province.

Approving the draft submission for registration of construction and application of simplified procedures in the construction of the Resolution of the An Giang Provincial People's Council regulating the decentralization of environmental protection spending tasks in An Giang province; the draft resolution regulating the monthly allowance for hamlet (area, quarter) team leaders and the daily allowance for militia and self-defense forces in An Giang province; supplementing the content of approving the Provincial People's Committee members on related projects serving the APEC Conference in 2027.

The Department of Home Affairs reported the results after 2 months of operating the 2-level local government model in An Giang province. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of 16 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee and 6 affiliated public service units; established 17 branches and equivalents under departments and branches, and departments and branches established 252 affiliated public service units. There are 303 specialized agencies under the People's Committee at the commune level; 1,214 public service units under the People's Committee at the commune level.

An Giang province has received 4,223 applications for leave of absence from the regime and policies according to Decree No. 178 and Decree No. 67 of the Government; has resolved the regime and policies for 1,704 cases with a total implementation cost of 1,840 billion VND.

The online public service system has been deployed, many procedures have been integrated into the National Public Service Portal. The province provides 1,946 administrative procedures applying online public services, of which 804 are fully online public services and 1,142 are partially online public services.

From July 1, 2025, the two-level government will officially come into operation with facilities, means, and equipment to serve basic work to meet working needs such as offices, public administration centers, cars, machinery, equipment, tools, etc.

Through the discussion of the delegates attending the meeting, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung gave his opinion on each content of the document requesting the opinion of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the document submitted to the Provincial People's Council and the document under the authority of the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, he requested relevant departments and branches to continue reviewing and supplementing the contents discussed at the meeting and completing the dossier, ensuring the quality and progress of implementation after approval.
