(NADS) - On the evening of December 17, at the outdoor stage of the Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace, Quang Ninh Province, the People's Committee of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province organized the summary and award ceremony of the photo contest "Ha Long - Heritage City".
Previously, on the evening of December 15, 2023, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "Ha Long past and present" with 300 works was also held here as part of a series of events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of Ha Long City (December 27, 1993 - December 27, 2023).
Attending the exhibition and awarding the prize of the photo contest "Ha Long - Heritage City" were comrade Ma The Anh, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; representatives of leaders of departments and branches of Quang Ninh province and leaders of Ha Long City, along with a large number of people and tourists attending and viewing the exhibition.
The contest has the participation of consultants and support from the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Quang Ninh province and was launched from April 30, 2023, receiving photos until October 31. For the monthly photo award category, the Jury will score the entries in accordance with the Contest rules, sent from the 25th of the previous month to the 24th of the following month. For the annual award category, the Jury will score all entries. The contest has received the attention and participation of authors inside and outside Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province with 71 authors and 685 works participating. The contest judges are Photography artists, belonging to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.
Through synthesis and scoring, the Organizing Committee has selected 36 outstanding works to win monthly awards (from May to October), including: 06 first prizes; 12 second prizes and 18 third prizes. For the annual award category, the Organizing Committee has selected 16 outstanding works, including: 01 Special Prize, 02 First Prizes, 03 Second Prizes, 04 Third Prizes and 06 Promising Prizes.
The Special Prize went to the work “The beauty of the city on the edge of heritage” by author Giang Son Dong from Ho Chi Minh City; Two first prizes went to: Duong Phuong Dai for the work “Picking up trash on Ha Long Bay” and Nguyen Duc Thanh for the work “Ha Long lights up” ; three second prizes went to authors Nguyen Khac Dam for the work “Ha Long World Natural Heritage” , Nguyen Van Cuong for the work “Hang Bo Nau in Ha Long Bay” and Duong Van Toan for the work “Connecting love” ; four third prizes went to authors: Hoang Ngoc Nghia for the work “Sparkling Bai Chay” ; Duong Phuong Dai for the work “The Lo Digger” ; Nguyen Hoai Son for the work “Rising Tourism” and Nguyen Tuan Anh ( Hai Phong ) for the work “On the shore of Cua Luc Bay” ;
The works are colorful paintings, reflecting the unique beauty of the landscape, culture and people of Ha Long - Quang Ninh; natural landscapes, scenic spots, cultural heritages, tourist destinations, traditional craft villages, festivals; Cultural and social events... taking place in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province.
