VHO - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a training course to improve the quality of human resources to protect and promote the values of world cultural and natural heritage in Vietnam according to the World Heritage Convention.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Dao Cuong has just signed Decision No. 1571/QD-BVHTTDL on organizing a training course to improve the quality of human resources in professional knowledge and the implementation of activities to protect and promote the values of world cultural and natural heritages in Vietnam according to the World Heritage Convention.

The objective of the training course is to improve the quality of human resources for staff of World Heritage Management Boards/Centers in terms of professional knowledge, skills and implementation of activities to protect and promote the values of World Cultural and Natural Heritage in Vietnam according to the World Heritage Convention (illustrative photo)

The objective of the training course is to improve the quality of human resources for staff of World Heritage Management Boards/Centers in terms of professional knowledge, skills and implementation of activities to protect and promote the values of World Cultural and Natural Heritage in Vietnam according to the World Heritage Convention.

This is also an event to share experiences in the management, protection and promotion of world heritage values in Vietnam according to the World Heritage Convention; Create conditions for civil servants and public employees directly involved in world heritage management to exchange experiences, enhance coordination and close connection in professional and technical work.

The training course to improve the quality of human resources in professional knowledge and implementation of activities to protect and promote the values of World Cultural and Natural Heritage in Vietnam according to the World Heritage Convention is expected to last 2 days in the second or third quarter of 2025 in Dien Bien province.

The number of delegates expected to attend is about 70 people, including representatives of the UNESCO Office in Hanoi; representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports of provinces and cities with world heritage sites; representatives of World Heritage Management Boards/Centers in Vietnam and representatives of some Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports of provinces and cities, and Monument Management Boards/Centers that are building scientific dossiers to submit to UNESCO for recognition as World Heritage sites.

The Department of Cultural Heritage proactively prepares the program, location, and content to ensure the organization of the Training, Retraining, and Coaching Classes with good results.
