Many expectations from inter-provincial trade opportunities
As one of the pioneering brands in improving and developing safe and quality medicinal products, Hoang Phong DANA Company Limited (Hoa Khanh Ward) constantly invests in research and production cooperation to meet the increasing demands of the market. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, Director of Hoang Phong DANA Company Limited, said that with the orientation of becoming a pioneer in researching and developing indigenous resources and inheriting and upgrading traditional medicinal products of the people, the company has cooperated with 15 farming households in the Central region, greening more than 80 hectares of medicinal plant growing area to produce quality medicinal products. Therefore, the connecting events of the City Department of Industry and Trade are very practical and meaningful; creating conditions to help businesses find partners, especially supermarkets and large distributors.
According to Ms. Lien, the cooperation between management agencies, businesses and farmers is a key factor for the company to move towards sustainable development. Participating in promotion programs not only helps the company expand its market but also contributes to stabilizing the output of raw material areas, creating sustainable livelihoods for local people. It is known that the company's brand has been positioned with more than 4,000 retail points nationwide, cooperating with reputable brands and pharmacy systems such as: Long Chau, An Khang, Manh Ty... and chain stores for mothers and babies.
“We highly appreciate the connecting role of the City Department of Industry and Trade in facilitating businesses to participate in large-scale promotional events. Through these activities, many partners from provinces, cities and regions have shown interest and cooperated in distributing products, creating an important premise for the company to bring its products to consumers nationwide.”

Not only businesses in the city, many units from other localities also want to expand product consumption and promote their brands in Da Nang. In particular, Nghe An is one of the localities actively bringing typical products to participate in trade and promotion programs organized by the city. Participating in trade connections for the first time in Da Nang, Ms. Le Mai Huong, representative of Dong Tam General Agricultural Service Cooperative (Hoang Mai Ward, Nghe An Province) expressed surprise at the interest of local consumers in the products of the Cooperative. Not only stopping at introducing products, the Cooperative has initially connected with a number of supermarkets and specialty stores in the city to find long-term cooperation directions.
Ms. Huong shared that with the orientation of developing clean agricultural products, the cooperative is always looking for opportunities to access large markets to introduce to consumers agricultural products with clear origins, produced in an organic and safe direction. “I believe that when the products are of good quality and meet food safety criteria, there will be opportunities to attract the attention of distribution systems and supermarkets. Hopefully, these trade connection programs will be organized more regularly and systematically so that goods from Nghe An can reach deeper into the Central market, especially Da Nang ,” Ms. Huong said.

Accompanying businesses to conquer the market
Clearly identifying the role of a bridge between businesses and the market, in recent times, the City Department of Industry and Trade has been promoting trade promotion programs, exhibitions, events promoting OCOP products... aiming to help businesses expand their consumption networks, while creating opportunities for exchange and learning between localities. In early June, the City Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with departments, branches and units to organize the 2025 Da Nang Vietnamese Goods Fair - Honoring OCOP products; a program to connect trade and product consumption between businesses in Nghe An province and Da Nang city... It is expected that in the near future, the City Department of Industry and Trade will organize many business delegations to participate in trade promotion activities in foreign markets.
In addition to organizing trade promotion activities, Ms. Do Thi Quynh Tram, Deputy Director of the City Department of Industry and Trade, said that the industry and trade sector clearly identifies its mission of accompanying businesses not only in connecting markets but also in supporting them to improve their competitiveness from within. The focus is on supporting production facilities and businesses with OCOP products to improve quality, complete legal procedures, and gradually build sustainable brands.
“The Department has closely coordinated with departments, branches, sectors and related units to advise and support businesses in product development. Through guiding and supporting businesses in digitizing information related to products, improving designs, labels, tracing origins to quality standards, and registering trademarks. From there, helping businesses and production and trading establishments of OCOP products gradually approach the modern business environment, meeting the requirements of domestic and international distribution systems.”

In addition to the support of state agencies, the role of businesses and retail groups in accompanying, connecting and expanding the consumption market for local products is becoming increasingly clear. Within the framework of the trade connection event between businesses of Nghe An province and Da Nang city in mid-June 2025, there was the participation of: Central Retail Group, GO! Da Nang supermarket, TOKENMALL e-commerce platform, Intimex Da Nang Joint Stock Company (Danavimart chain), DHTC Da Nang Joint Stock Company (managing Son Tra Night Market)... and businesses and cooperatives from Nghe An, Da Nang, Dong Nai. These connections not only open up stable consumption channels, but also contribute to unleashing the potential and enhancing the competitive advantage of local products.
Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Lan, Director of External Relations in charge of the Central region, Central Retail Vietnam Group, said that in this event, Central Retail supported direct connections (1-1) for nearly 20 suppliers from Nghe An, mainly production facilities of typical OCOP and rural industrial products. This is an activity demonstrating the group's support in soon bringing regional typical products into the modern distribution system. From there, it opens up opportunities for these products to be distributed throughout the Central Retail system in Vietnam. According to Ms. Lan, Central Retail is also ready to expand 1-1 connections with businesses in Da Nang with great potential for OCOP products, processed foods and consumer goods.
“We hope that in the future, there will be more specialized and larger-scale networking events. For example, a networking conference dedicated to Da Nang businesses with Central Retail, or direct networking activities in localities with the participation of more local businesses, creating more opportunities to meet, exchange practically and improve the efficiency of trade connections,” Ms. Lan shared.
