The reason for temporary closure is to carry out construction of the project to supply and install equipment for the Vinh Airport Runway and Taxiway Repair Project.

The Ministry of Construction requested the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to announce the temporary closure of airports on the aviation information notification system as prescribed; notify local authorities, relevant agencies and units; and direct the implementation of remedial measures and handling of related issues.

It is known that Buon Ma Thuot Airport is currently operating flights to Vinh Airport and vice versa, with a frequency of 2 flights/day (Buon Ma Thuot – Vinh and Vinh – Buon Ma Thuot). This is a flight route with a fairly stable number of passengers and a high seat occupancy rate on each flight.
