The Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City organized a meeting between the Department's leaders and all civil servants and employees of the agency after completing the merger of 3 Departments: Department of Education and Training of Soc Trang province, Department of Education and Training of Hau Giang province and Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City.

At the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, Acting Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, sent her greetings to the civil servants and employees from the old units and expressed her confidence in the spirit of solidarity and cooperation to build a strong, professional, dynamic and effective collective.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Huyen, this is a historical milestone, and also a valuable opportunity to promote collective intelligence, solidarity, and together write a new journey for the city'seducation sector. The merger is an important step towards improving the quality of education sector management, creating unity in direction and operation, in line with the trend of innovation and streamlining the administrative apparatus.

This merger is not only a change in organization and administration but also a convergence of experience, passion and capacity from three localities with long-standing educational traditions.

The meeting took place in a warm and open atmosphere, an opportunity for civil servants and employees to exchange, share, express their thoughts and aspirations, creating a premise to build a democratic, friendly, united, consensual working environment, together towards the goal of developing the education career of Can Tho City.

After the merger, the Board of Directors of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City includes the Acting Director of the Department and 6 Deputy Directors:

Ms. Tran Thi Huyen was assigned by the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee to be the Acting Director of the Department until the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training is completed.

The Deputy Directors of the Department include: Mr. Nguyen Phuc Tang; Ms. Le Thi Thuy Dung; Mr. Vo Hong Lam; Mr. Danh Hoang Nguyen; Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hang; Mr. Nguyen Van Hien.

After the merger, the number of public education units in Can Tho city is 1,185 units (including 334 preschools, 490 primary schools, 239 secondary schools, 92 high schools and 30 continuing education centers, vocational education centers - continuing education).
