Skoda Kushaq officially launched in Vietnam, under 600 million VND

Skoda Kushaq is manufactured in Vietnam with a factory located in Quang Ninh province, so the price is relatively affordable.

In 2022, Thanh Cong Group officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Skoda Auto, making Vietnam a link in the globalization strategy of the European car company. The brand manifesto in the Vietnamese market was introduced with the slogan: "Let's Explore - Live to explore, European standard."

In February 2023, the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project was started in Viet Hung Industrial Park, Quang Ninh province. After 25 months of construction, equipment installation and testing according to Skoda's technical standards, the factory officially went into operation on March 26, 2025 with a designed capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year.

In February 2023, the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project was started in Viet Hung Industrial Park, Quang Ninh province. After 25 months of construction, equipment installation and testing according to Skoda's technical standards, the factory officially went into operation on March 26, 2025 with a designed capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year.

The first model to be produced here is the Skoda Kushaq, a B-size SUV developed to global standards, specifically for the Asian market. Kushaq is also the first model in the European-standard SUV-B segment in Vietnam with a starting price of 599 million VND.

Kushaq has a typical design of European urban SUVs with a sharp radiator grille, extended Crystalline LED lights and a butterfly-shaped front bumper. Automatic anti-glare rearview mirrors, automatic fog lights when turning, integrated LED tail lights and a spoiler for a strong, aerodynamic overall look.

The overall dimensions of the Skoda Kushaq are 4,225 x 1,760 x 1,612 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 2,651 mm, among the widest in the segment. The interior is therefore very comfortable for both the driver and passengers.

Skoda Kushaq is distributed in two versions: Ambition and Style. Both use leather seats, integrated with paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The front seats of the Ambition version are manually adjustable, the Style version has 6-way electric adjustment and seat cooling. The automatic air conditioning system comes with Air Care smart air filter. The rear seats have separate air vents and 2 USB charging ports.

The Ambition version uses an analog clock cluster combined with a 4.2-inch TFT screen, while the Style has an 8-inch digital clock. The 10-inch central entertainment screen integrates wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The Style also has wireless charging, interior ambient lighting, auto-dimming mirrors and a Skoda Sound System (6 speakers + 1 subwoofer).

Both versions are equipped with a cooled storage compartment and a KESSY smart key. The Ambition uses a push-button start system, while the Style adds a door lock/unlock feature with a button on the handle. The car also has Valet Mode to protect privacy and track vehicle activity when it is assigned to someone else.

Skoda Kushaq has achieved a 5-star safety rating according to Global NCAP, undergoing rigorous tests on collision, material durability, corrosion resistance and operation in extreme environments. The body structure uses 14% ultra-high-strength steel and 86% high-strength steel, ensuring the rigidity and safety of the passenger compartment.

Safety equipment includes: electronic balance ESC, traction control TCS, anti-slip MSR, automatic brake hold HHC, secondary collision avoidance MKB, brake pad drying BSW, emergency brake assist, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic warning.

Kushaq uses the MQB chassis from the Volkswagen ecosystem, integrating a 1.0L TSI Turbo engine (115 horsepower, 178Nm), 6-speed automatic transmission. The announced fuel consumption is only 6.1L/100km. The car is optimized to suit the actual operating conditions in Vietnam, from smooth acceleration to body stability when cornering.

Skoda Kushaq's driving assistance system includes: active cornering assist XDS/XDS+, electronic differential lock EDL, providing better stability and traction on rough or slippery roads.

Skoda Kushaq is sold in two versions: Ambition priced at VND 599 million and Style priced at VND 649 million. In July and August 2025, customers will receive a direct discount of VND 10 million, free first maintenance (7,500 km) and a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).

In particular, residents with permanent residence in Quang Ninh province when purchasing the new Skoda Kushaq SUV model will receive an additional 10% discount on the retail price (applicable in July and August, not cumulative with other incentives).

Skoda Kushaq is the first step in Skoda's long-term development strategy in Vietnam, with a system of dealers and experience centers that meet global standards, along with high-quality after-sales service, reasonable costs and maintenance cycles every 7,500 km.
