From February 15-16, the Rotaract Club of Chuo University (Japan); the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Families of Children with Cerebral Palsy organized the program "Giving Wheelchairs" to children with cerebral palsy in Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh , and Hanoi.
The delegation came to give directly to some families of disabled children in Dong Anh district (Hanoi), Kien Xuong district ( Thai Binh )... and families of children with cerebral palsy from Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh provinces... at the headquarters of the Association of Families of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Vietnam in Hanoi.
Chuo University Rotaract Club (Japan) presented gifts to 9 children with cerebral palsy belonging to the Vietnam Association of Families of Children with Cerebral Palsy and 1 disabled child due to an accident in Quang Ninh .

At the event, Mr. Kobayashi Hiroki - Head of the International Committee of the Rotaract Club of Chuo University (Japan) said: through research, the Club learned that many people in Vietnam need wheelchairs but do not have them due to difficulties in daily life. With the cooperation of the Vietnam - Japan International Exchange Organization, the Club has adjusted the size of the wheelchairs to suit each user to realize the plan to bring 10 wheelchairs to Vietnam.

Mr. Kobayashi Hirok hopes that these 10 wheelchairs assembled in the appropriate size will bring convenience, comfort, and increase happiness for users. At the same time, he hopes that in the future, he can continue to expand this charity plan and make every effort for the project to bring joy and happiness to people with disabilities in Vietnam.

Mr. Do Quang Ba, Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan International Exchange Organization (FAVIJA) said: “This is the third time FAVIJA has organized charity wheelchairs for the Association of Families of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Vietnam. In the near future, FAVIJA will continue to make efforts to promote its role as a bridge in calling on Japanese charities to donate free wheelchairs to improve the current situation of universal wheelchair access for people with disabilities in Vietnam, especially for families in difficult circumstances.”
Ms. Dinh Thi Lan Anh, President of the Association of Families of Young People with Cerebral Palsy in Vietnam, said that the wheelchair donation program is an activity within the framework of the project “Escape from the stilt house” since the association was first established. Families who received wheelchairs all expressed their gratitude for the sympathy and love shared by the community.
