On the eve of the 2025 high school graduation exam, thousands of students in Da Nang and neighboring provinces have visited famous pagodas such as Linh Ung and Bat Nha to burn incense and pray for luck.

On the morning of June 24, thousands of students in Da Nang and neighboring provinces went to large pagodas such as Linh Ung and Bat Nha in Da Nang City to offer incense, pray for peace and luck before the 2025 high school graduation exam, and place their faith in "passing the gate of heaven".

The Bat Nha Pagoda campus (Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) was packed with students and parents. In the smoke of incense, groups of students clasped their hands in prayer, their faces filled with contemplation, worry and hope.

Dinh Thi Huyen Trang (residing in Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam ) shared: "From early morning, I traveled to Da Nang City to go to the pagoda to offer incense and pray. After many months of intense studying, I believe that in addition to academic ability, a strong mentality and spiritual support will help me pass the exam better."

Coming from Quang Nam province to Da Nang city to pray with her daughter, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that in the coming days she will take time off from work to accompany and support her daughter in this important exam.

"I think, at this important time, parents also need to stand side by side with their children. I hope everything goes smoothly for your children, they stay calm and do well on the exam," said Ms. Tra.

At Linh Ung Pagoda (Son Tra District), hundreds of students from all over quietly offered incense, rang bells, and made wishes before the statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.

"I aim to enter the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang. Even though I have studied hard, I still want to have a little more 'spiritual luck' to be luckier in the exam," said Phan Dinh Loc (student of Nguyen Hien High School).

Prepare for the exam of 2 programs at the same time

According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam will take place from June 25 to 28, of which June 25 is the day for procedures, followed by 2 official exam days, and June 28 is reserved for backup cases.

In Da Nang City, this year's exam has a total of 14,549 candidates registered, of which 14,156 candidates follow the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, and 393 candidates follow the 2006 General Education Program. The Da Nang City Education Department has arranged 31 exam sites, including 1 separate exam site for the old program.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City, said: "Since the beginning of June, we have coordinated with districts, departments and branches to synchronously deploy the organization of the exam, from facilities, personnel to security and logistics. The goal is to ensure a safe, serious exam, in accordance with regulations and creating the most favorable conditions for candidates."

The Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City has mobilized more than 2,000 officials and teachers to participate in the exam, including reserve forces. The entire team has been thoroughly trained in exam regulations and handling of arising situations. The city's education sector also closely coordinates with the police, health, electricity, fire prevention, and Youth Union agencies to ensure safety, security, and health care for candidates.

High School Graduation Exam Schedule 2025

The 2025 high school graduation exam has two main exam days: June 26-27. Candidates will complete exam registration procedures on the afternoon of June 25, with June 28 reserved for the backup exam.

Candidates taking the current General Education Program will only take 3 sessions with 4 subjects including 2 compulsory subjects: math, literature and 2 elective subjects (from the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, economic and legal education, information technology, technology - industrial orientation, technology - agricultural orientation). Candidates will complete the exam on the morning of June 27.

Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program must take four sessions with six subjects: math, literature, foreign language, natural science (physics, chemistry, biology) or social science (history, geography, civics). Candidates will complete the exam on the afternoon of June 27.

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, nearly 1.17 million candidates registered for the 2025 high school graduation exam. Of which, the current program had approximately 1.12 million candidates, accounting for 96.33%; the old program had 26,711 candidates, accounting for 2.29%.
