Accordingly, on the basis of Project No. 393/DA-CP dated May 9, 2025 of the Government on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Gia Lai province (new) in 2025, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly decided to arrange to establish new communes and wards.
Thus, after the rearrangement, Gia Lai province has only 135 commune-level administrative units, including 110 communes and 25 wards; of which 101 communes and 25 wards were formed after the rearrangement and 9 communes did not undergo the rearrangement (including: Ia O commune (Ia Grai district), Nhon Chau, Ia Púch, Ia Mo, Ia Pnôn, Ia Nan, Ia Dom, Ia Chia and Krong).
The National Assembly Standing Committee assigns the Government, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, local authorities of administrative units related to the implementation of the arrangement and other relevant agencies and organizations to organize the implementation of the Resolution; arrange and stabilize the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilize people's lives, ensure the requirements of socio- economic development, national defense and security in the area.
The National Assembly Standing Committee assigned the Government to organize the accurate determination of the natural area of commune-level administrative units and publicly announce it before September 30, 2025; at the same time, urgently deploy the work of measuring and determining the boundaries of administrative units in the field to establish records on administrative unit boundaries according to regulations.
The Nationalities Council, the National Assembly Committees, the National Assembly Delegation and the National Assembly deputies of Gia Lai province are responsible for supervising the implementation of this Resolution.
