The conference to review 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW took place on the morning of June 13 at Hall 2-9 (Pleiku City). Co-chairing the conference were comrades: Rah Lan Chung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Thi To Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
Create comprehensive changes in social life
Over the past 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo , Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the province have proactively and actively disseminated, seriously and effectively implemented the entire course and annual topics. Studying and following Uncle Ho has become a habit in political activities, a key and regular task of Party committees at all levels and cadres and party members. Many localities, agencies and units have had creative and practical ways of doing things, contributing to spreading the movement.
The implementation of Directive No. 05 by all levels of government is linked to the leadership and direction of resolving pressing and prominent issues in society that the public and the people are concerned about. Accordingly, from 2016 to present, the whole province has organized more than 57,000 meetings with citizens with over 58,000 participants. The heads of Party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots have organized more than 2,000 direct dialogue conferences with people and businesses, promptly removing difficulties, thereby strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the government.
Many good models and effective methods continue to be deployed and replicated by Party committees, Party organizations, units and localities, creating a widespread influence in the community such as: "For the poor" Fund, "Changing the thinking and working methods of ethnic minorities to gradually rise up to escape poverty sustainably", " Gia Lai joins hands to build new countryside", "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", "Returning to faith, keeping peace in villages and hamlets", "Zero-dong bread cabinets"...
With the drastic and synchronous direction of the Party Committee and the strong participation of the entire political system, the socio -economic development targets of the province in recent years have basically met and exceeded the plan. The material and spiritual life of the people has been constantly improved; social security has been ensured; the poverty rate has decreased steadily over the years. By the end of 2024, the whole province will have 23,852 poor households (accounting for 6.06%).
Along with that, the whole province has 94 communes and 182 villages meeting new rural standards. The work of building the Party, the political system, national defense and security has been strengthened, creating positive changes in all aspects of social life, and the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the management and operation of the authorities at all levels has been raised.
Many good and creative ways
Standing Deputy Secretary of Pleiku City Party Committee Vo Phuc Anh said: To spread examples of good people and good deeds in the community, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee directed the organization of writing contests and the creation of propaganda videos/clips. At the same time, promote communication through social networking platforms such as: Fanpage "Pleiku City Party Committee", YouTube channel "Pleiku-Land and People" and fanpages of each agency and unit. From 2016 to present, the city has commended and rewarded 178 collectives and 279 individuals; the grassroots level also commended hundreds of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in studying and following Uncle Ho.
Along with propaganda work, training and fostering associated with studying and following Uncle Ho are also focused on. According to the Principal of the Provincial Political School, Ngo Khac Ngoc: “Over the past 10 years, the school has organized, managed and taught 646 classes with 37,828 students. Of which, 200 intermediate political theory classes were trained, 428 fostered classes were trained and 18 classes were jointly trained. The above results have contributed to the goal of standardizing political theory qualifications, state management knowledge, titles, skills and public service ethics associated with the integration process for cadres in the local political system”.
In Ia Grai district, the "Sunday back to the village" model implemented by Ia Sao Commune Police since October 2024 has created a positive effect. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Hung - Head of Ia Sao Commune Police - shared: On weekends, the entire Commune Police force goes to villages and hamlets to grasp the situation, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and at the same time propagate the law and handle administrative procedures on the spot.
After 7 months of implementation, the model has shown remarkable effectiveness. Many security and order issues have been promptly handled right at the grassroots level; some administrative procedures have been resolved quickly, reducing costs and time for people.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Border Guard Command has concretized the study and follow of Uncle Ho through practical emulation movements such as: "Provincial Border Guard joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", "Joining hands to build new countryside", "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"...
Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Huu Ninh - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Provincial Border Guard - informed: Regarding the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", the unit has proactively coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, village elders, and village chiefs to survey the housing situation and make a public and transparent support list.
At the same time, mobilize social resources, encourage businesses and philanthropists to contribute funds and materials; officers and soldiers directly participate in working days with people to build and repair houses. From the beginning of 2025 to now, the unit has completed 11 houses with a total cost of more than 1.3 billion VND, contributing to helping border households stabilize their lives and feel secure in their work and production.
Spreading noble values
During the 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05, the province has had many typical and advanced collectives and individuals recognized and rewarded by all levels. Specifically, the Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 11 individuals; the Central Propaganda and Education Commission awarded certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 17 individuals; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 67 collectives and 94 individuals. In addition, departments, branches and localities in the province also recognized and rewarded 1,334 collectives and 1,788 individuals.
Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Van Nien acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Party committees, units and localities in recent times and commended and congratulated typical collectives and individuals in various fields.
“The concrete and practical actions of groups and individuals are living proof of the spirit of “practicing what you preach”, learning from Uncle Ho from the heart and following him through actions, contributing to spreading noble values throughout society,” the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
To continue effectively studying and following Uncle Ho in the new period, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Van Nien requested that Party committees, agencies, units and localities continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW and Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo in conjunction with implementing the resolutions and conclusions of the 4th Central Conference on Party building and rectification.
The Provincial Party Secretary stated: “Each cadre and party member, especially the leader, must be wholeheartedly devoted to their work, closely follow reality, be close to the people, respect the people, understand the people, and be attached to the people. In all conditions and circumstances, they must truly be the nucleus of solidarity, gathering, creating motivation and promoting collective intelligence; always demonstrate steadfast political will, have correct viewpoints and thoughts, dare to think, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to innovate, be creative, dare to face difficulties and challenges and be resolute in action for the common good.”
The Provincial Party Secretary proposed strong, flexible and creative innovation; increased application of digital technology and social networking platforms to effectively carry out propaganda and education work to raise awareness and action on studying and following Uncle Ho. Taking the results of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as one of the criteria for evaluating and classifying the quality of cadres and party members every year.
Closely link learning and following Uncle Ho with patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, especially focusing on directing the decisive resolution of outstanding issues that people are concerned about. Further promote the role of supervision and social criticism of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of government operations at all levels; build a contingent of cadres and party members to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.
The Provincial Party Secretary noted that, along with the dissemination, deployment and implementation, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and supervision work; do a good job of summarizing and concluding, promptly adjusting content, innovating organizational methods, making studying and following Uncle Ho increasingly systematic, substantial and effective, becoming a voluntary and regular activity. In particular, it is necessary to focus on discovering and replicating advanced models, good people, good deeds, good, creative and effective ways of studying and following Uncle Ho.
