After failing to convince Liverpool to sell Luis Díaz, the Saudi Pro League giants have turned their attention to the 24-year-old Brazilian star, aiming to strengthen their attack for the 2025/26 season.
Al Nassr see Martinelli as an ideal option, and are willing to pay a fee higher than Martinelli's market value. According to Transfermarkt, Martinelli is currently valued at just £55m.
In addition, Cristiano Ronaldo's club also promised to pay Martinelli a salary of 20 million pounds/year (three times the current salary of 180,000 pounds/week) if he agreed to play in Saudi Arabia. Martinelli currently has a contract with Arsenal until 2027, and has repeatedly committed his future to the London team.
Arsenal's board also wanted to keep Martinelli, seeing him as a pillar in coach Mikel Arteta's long-term plans. However, the attractive offer from Al Nassr made Arsenal's board reconsider.

He scored 41 goals and had 24 assists in 225 appearances for the London team. However, in the 2024/25 season, he only contributed 10 goals and 7 assists, not as explosive as in the 2022/23 season (15 goals in the Premier League).
