Rashford saves himself

Marcus Rashford still comes to Carrington but trains separately instead of joining his teammates at MU.

According to The Sun , coach Ruben Amorim has informed Rashford and four other players, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, that they do not need to attend training this week. The Portuguese strategist wants the group to have time to find a new destination.

However, Rashford proactively asked for permission to return to Carrington to train to maintain his fitness. The MU coaching staff agreed as the players still had the right to use medical and rehabilitation equipment.

Rashford was seen training alone on the pitch, separate from coach Amorim's first-team group. Sources close to Rashford said the English striker is ready to return to the pitch and is committed to giving 100% of his strength.

Currently, Rashford has received interest from both Barcelona and Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window of 2025. The English striker expressed his desire to join Barcelona when accepting a pay cut to fulfill his wish. However, the Catalan team is still hesitant.

Barcelona are likely to propose a loan deal with an option to buy, which would suit their financial situation. For Manchester United, this would ease their wage bill of nearly £17m a season and earn them a loan fee.
