On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), on June 10, in Hanoi , the News Publishing House launched the photo book "100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press (1925-2025)". The book was produced under the direction of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission and Vietnam News Agency.
Speaking at the book launch ceremony, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the News Publishing House Phung Thi My said that the photo book "100 years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism (1925-2025)" was honored to receive congratulations from General Secretary To Lam in the first part of the book. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, also wrote dedicated pages to introduce the book.
“The book is a profound tribute to President Ho Chi Minh , the great revolutionary journalist, founder of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism and generations of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists, especially the journalists and martyrs who fell so that the revolutionary journalism could develop brilliantly as it is today; at the same time, it is a belief, pride, encouragement and motivation for the young generations of journalists today and tomorrow to firmly walk on the path of accompanying the nation”, Director Phung Thi My emphasized.
This is the first photo book on the history of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press, with concise articles and more than 1,000 photos and rare documents carefully exploited and selected from many sources across the country, such as the Photo Editorial Board and the Center for Documentary Information - Graphics (Vietnam News Agency), Vietnam Press Museum, Center for Journalism Training (Vietnam Journalists Association), National Museum of History, Central Party Office Archives, National Library of Vietnam, Hanoi Library, Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Voice of Vietnam Radio, Vietnam Television, People's Army Newspaper, People's Police Newspaper, Labor Newspaper, Tien Phong Newspaper, Literature and Arts Newspaper, Faculty of Photography - Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema, central and local press agencies, a number of press collectors and other photojournalists...
The articles, images and documents in the book are presented in a general chronological order, reflecting the formation, development and growth of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, associated with each revolutionary stage of the Party and the nation: From the period of revolutionary movements, fighting for power, through two resistance wars against France and the US; carrying out the work of building and defending the country; serving the cause of comprehensive renovation, bringing the country into a new era. The book depicts the historical milestones, the achievements and silent sacrifices of the team of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists over the past century.

Regarding the meaning and importance of the book, Party Central Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh emphasized that the book helps readers systematically review the 100-year development journey of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press, from the difficult early days to the present. The book is compiled and published in bilingual form, not only helping Vietnamese people better understand the history of the country's press, but also vividly introducing to international friends the proud development journey of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.
The book has many special images and documents that are included for the first time in an official publication. Notably, there is an image of the Liberation Flag Newspaper - the Central propaganda agency of the Indochinese Communist Party, issue number 1 published on October 10, 1942...
