The GT XX Concept makes a strong impression with its futuristic appearance. The bright orange paint recalls the legendary Mercedes C111, along with a smooth, monocoque body that clearly reflects the futuristic AMG design language. The special feature lies in the extremely low drag coefficient of only 0.198 Cd, an impressive figure for a high-performance sedan with large tires and traditional rearview mirrors.
The body is equipped with active aerodynamic rims, including 5 carbon fiber panels on each wheel that can automatically open and close to cool the brakes or optimize airflow, operating on kinetic energy generated from wheel movement without consuming electricity from the battery. The Mercedes-AMG GT XX Concept is developed on the AMG Electric Architecture (AMG.EA) platform with an 800V electrical system, allowing for super-fast charging with a capacity of 850 kW, enough to increase the travel range by nearly 400 km in just 5 minutes. The electric machine delivers 1,340 horsepower, surpassing the Lucid Air Sapphire (1,234 horsepower) and only behind the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra (1,548 horsepower). The car reaches a maximum speed of up to 360 km/h, clearly showing that AMG's ambition is not just to create an electric car, but a "super beast" on the street.
Another notable point is the direct cooling battery system with cylindrical cell structure - an exclusive technology hidden from the supplier, helping to control heat better and maintain high performance even in harsh operating conditions such as on the racetrack. Inside the cabin is a mix of sporty , modern and sustainable. The bucket seats are made from carbon fibre, hug the driver's body and can be customized to suit the body shape. Notably, the interior padding and materials are recycled from used GT3 racing tires, with each GT XX needing just one tire to provide enough material.
The driving position features a large digital display, a Yoke-style steering wheel with integrated modern control buttons and paddle shifters, giving the feeling of driving a warrior from the future. Despite being an electric vehicle, the GT XX still delivers an emotional sound experience thanks to a V8 engine simulation system that is considered “the best V8 version AMG has ever created”, according to CEO Michael Schiebe. The sound is emitted from dual speakers integrated into the headlight cavity, spreading throughout the body of the car, creating a driving experience that is not only powerful but also extremely “soulful”.
