Launching the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands

On the eve of International Women's Day (March 8), the Vietnamese Women's Association in the Netherlands held a launching ceremony of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands, combined with a Vietnamese costume show.

Attending the ceremony were Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Huong Nam, representatives of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe and clubs in neighboring countries, Vietnamese associations in the Netherlands, many Vietnamese people who love Ao Dai and Dutch friends.

The event took place during Ao Dai Week and conveyed a meaningful message about the cultural heritage value of traditional Vietnamese costumes.

Here, visitors can admire impressive performances by Club members in traditional Ao Dai costumes of different periods, from ancient to modern costumes as well as traditional costumes of ethnic groups in the big family of Vietnam.

In particular, many male brothers as well as Dutch sons-in-law participated in the performance with the sisters.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Ngo Huong Nam highlighted the traditional cultural value of Ao Dai, highly appreciated the efforts in promoting Ao Dai by Vietnamese women in the Netherlands and the significance of the establishment of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands.

At the launching ceremony, the Decision of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe on the establishment and recognition of the Executive Committee of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands was announced.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Netherlands Ngo Huong Nam spoke at the event.

Dr. Phan Bich Thien - President of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe sent a congratulatory letter to the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands, a new member in the common home of the Vietnamese Ao Dai Heritage Club in Europe.

The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club in the Netherlands was launched with 15 members, headed by President Nguyen Thi Lan Huong.

The establishment of the Club is a testament to the love for the homeland of Vietnamese women in the Netherlands with the enthusiasm to preserve and spread the cultural heritage values of the nation to Dutch friends in particular and international friends in general.
