Colonel HO SY CHIEN, Political Commissar of Division 10, Corps 34:
Firmly hold to revolutionary ideals
These days, the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd in the localities where Division 10 is stationed is very bustling. From the center to the remote villages, ethnic minority areas, the Party flag and the national flag are all bright red. Joining the exciting atmosphere across the country, officers and soldiers of Division 10 are looking forward to this anniversary with many practical movements and activities. In addition to the peak emulation campaign "Raise the August Red Flag - Compete to win 3 first prizes", the unit also organizes seminars, talks on traditions, shows documentaries about the August Revolution; organizes for young officers, newly graduated officers to return to the unit to receive work and soldiers to visit, offer flowers, burn incense, and pay respect to heroic martyrs at the Division's traditional house.
The unit also inaugurated and handed over 2 "houses of gratitude" to 2 veterans of Dak Lak province and "comrade houses" and "100 dong houses" to soldiers of the unit. During the holidays, the Division directed agencies and units to organize many cultural-artistic and sports exchange activities; organize on-duty and practice combat plans. In particular, the Party Committee of Division 10 directed party committees and cells to organize a party admission ceremony on National Day, September 2, for 41 comrades; contributing to educating the younger generation about traditions and revolutionary ideals.
On the national festival day, the officers and soldiers of Division 10 deeply realized that it was necessary to prepare fully to join the nation in entering the new era. That is the quality of steadfast revolutionary ideals; the aspiration to contribute, ready to sacrifice to protect peace , independence, freedom and happiness of the people; the spirit of innovation, creativity, lifelong learning, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility to build a Division that is elite, compact, strong, revolutionary, disciplined, modern, and successfully completes all assigned tasks.

Colonel HOANG TRUNG KIEN, Political Commissar of Air Division 372, Air Defense - Air Force:
Soldiers must be truly exemplary and responsible.
The 372nd Air Division undertakes many tasks, from combat training, combat readiness to protecting the airspace on land, at sea, and on islands in the Central Highlands region; participating in airspace management, flight management, performing special aircraft missions, search and rescue, flood and storm prevention and control, and performing other ad hoc tasks. In addition, the Division's units also participate in flights to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory; flights to celebrate the 2024 Vietnam International Defense Exhibition; flights to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification and are currently in the formation of the Vietnam People's Air Force preparing to fly to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.
The requirements of the tasks are increasingly high, especially flight operations, requiring the unit to concentrate highly on both time and force to avoid mistakes and uncertainties. Therefore, we always determine: Only when each soldier is truly exemplary and responsible, will the unit be able to shoulder the tasks of combat readiness, airspace management, flight operations management, and firmly protect assigned targets. From there, we can promote the noble values of peace, independence, and freedom, contributing to building an increasingly rich and civilized country. That reality requires officers and soldiers to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, and the people. At the same time, we must constantly practice political mettle, moral qualities, and a pure lifestyle; actively study and research to improve professional qualifications, master modern equipment and weapons, and be ready to receive and complete tasks in all situations.

Lieutenant Colonel NGUYEN XUAN HUNG, Political Commissar of Lung Cu Border Post, Border Guard Command, Military Command of Tuyen Quang Province:
Together with the people, firmly protect the border
I have witnessed many times that our compatriots from all over the country and overseas Vietnamese were moved by the 54m2 national flag symbolizing the great unity of 54 ethnic groups flying in the sacred North Pole. In recent years, as the means of transport and roads to Lung Cu commune, Tuyen Quang province have become more convenient, more and more delegations have come to Lung Cu Flagpole. Working here for many years, I have also seen that the infrastructure and people's lives have been increasingly developed thanks to the Party and State's policies to prioritize the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Roads have been expanded, the national electricity grid has reached every village, ethnic children have been able to go to school, and their material and spiritual lives have improved.
In addition, our unit directly joined hands with local Party committees and authorities in building new rural areas, helping people develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and help households and students in difficult circumstances. On this occasion, we coordinated with the Party committees and authorities of Lung Cu commune to present more than 1,000 national flags and Uncle Ho's pictures to people in the border area; organized many cultural-artistic, physical education-sports exchange activities to further strengthen the military-civilian relationship... All of that helped my teammates and I to be more determined to overcome all difficulties, successfully complete all assigned tasks, maintain sovereignty, border security, and care for and serve the people better and better.

Captain TRAN HUU TOAN, Political Commissar of Radar Station 610, Radar Regiment 551, Naval Region 5:
Raise revolutionary vigilance
The atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the people and army on Tho Chu Island was no less than that on the mainland. On this occasion, our unit coordinated with the Party Committee, the government of Tho Chau Special Zone, An Giang Province and other units to offer incense at the Ho Chi Minh Temple, clean up and decorate the roads around the island and the coast with flags and flowers; and organize many exchange activities. We also maintained and strictly implemented the plan for enhanced combat readiness.
Our task of managing targets in the sea direction is very important, contributing to protecting the Fatherland early and from afar. In the assigned position, I and the unit are constantly determined and strive to complete the task; always uphold the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, manage and grasp the targets and situation of the assigned sea area, promptly report to the superior command, direct the targets to the coordinating forces, not to be passive or surprised in any situation. We promise to always complete the assigned tasks excellently, worthy of being the "divine eye in the Southwest sea" of the Fatherland, contributing to protecting the peace, independence and freedom of the Fatherland, so that the people can happily celebrate the National Day on September 2.

Sergeant MAI VAN BAO, Battery Commander of Battery 1, 12.7mm Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Platoon, Thanh Lan Island Battalion, Brigade 242, Military Region 3:
Fulfilling civic responsibilities
Through the propaganda and educational activities organized by the unit, I understand more clearly the priceless value of peace, independence and freedom. That is the most important foundation for building a strong and prosperous country; creating conditions for all citizens to enjoy a peaceful life, have the opportunity to study, improve their qualifications, expand their knowledge, and develop the economy. As a generation born and raised in peace, I feel that I have the responsibility to continue the achievements of previous generations, making efforts to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. First of all, I am fulfilling my responsibility as a citizen to the Fatherland; actively studying to improve my qualifications in all aspects, especially science and technology; being exemplary in obeying the law; preserving and promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers even after being discharged from the army. It is an honor to participate in combat readiness, contributing to ensuring the safety of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. My teammates and I will actively practice and master the plans and handle situations well.
