Truong Sa is not only a "fence" protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland, but also a shining symbol of courage and immortal pride. There, every inch of coral, every meter of wave is soaked with sweat, effort and blood of many generations of fathers and brothers. Over the past 80 years, the revolutionary tradition of the nation and the spirit of victory in the first battle (August 2 and 5, 1964) have always been the "fire" guiding today's Navy soldiers to hold their guns firmly and steer firmly, protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Tien Diep, Political Commissar of Truong Sa Island, Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 (Truong Sa town, Truong Sa special zone) said: "We always determine that keeping the island is keeping the mainland, keeping the island is keeping the Fatherland. Every officer and soldier at the forefront understands the trust of the people, from there strives to train, be ready to fight, and excellently complete all tasks."

On this important occasion, the cadres, soldiers of Truong Sa and the people on the island are even more deeply imbued with sacred pride. They are ready to overcome difficulties, harsh weather, and material shortages to steadfastly hold on, turning the remote island into a home, a solid fortress in the middle of the ocean. The solemn flag-raising ceremonies at dawn at sea; the tireless, enthusiastic training sessions; the political activities imbued with the love between the army and the people... all blend into the heroic song of the country, affirming that Truong Sa is always an inseparable part of our flesh and blood.

Ms. Tran Thi Chau Uc, household number 2, Song Tu Tay island commune, shared: ''In the joy of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, we on the remote island are even more proud and attached to the Fatherland. Every day living on Song Tu Tay, we always deeply feel the close-knit relationship between the army and the people, full of affection. The Navy is both a support and a relative, helping us firmly stick to the island and protect the sea.''

The steadfast belief in the Party, the Fatherland and the people helps today's marines maintain the spirit of "being ready to fight and die for the survival of the Fatherland". Each ship, each watchtower is a battlefield; each officer and soldier is a shining example of bravery, will and dedication. Along with that, the solidarity between the army and the people on the island has created a solid "people's heart position", contributing to consolidating the strength to protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, looking towards Truong Sa, we are even more proud of the marine soldiers - the people who are day and night continuing to write the heroic history, so that the Fatherland will always exist, so that the color of the Fatherland's flag will always shine brightly at the forefront of the wind and waves.
