Regulations on the number of candidates for the national excellent student selection team of localities after arrangement

Some articles of the Regulations on the National Excellent Student Competition will be amended and supplemented to guide the participating units in registering the maximum number of candidates for each team, and at the same time, implementing the inspection and supervision of the stages of the exam in accordance with regulations.

On August 27, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the draft amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the Regulations on national excellent student selection exams, issued together with Circular No. 17/2023/TT-BGDDT dated October 10, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training (Exam Regulations).

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the Examination Regulations aims to guide the participating units in registering the maximum number of candidates for each exam team, and at the same time, deploy the work of checking and supervising the stages of the exam in accordance with regulations.

Regarding the regulation on the number of candidates for the national excellent student selection team, in the Draft, each participating unit is allowed to register a maximum of 10 candidates for each subject (in particular, the participating unit Hanoi is allowed to register a maximum of 20 candidates for each team). The participating units that arrange provincial administrative units shall do so as follows:

In addition, the draft adjusts the Examination Regulations to suit the functions and tasks of inspection and examination activities during the organization of the examination, according to the provisions of Decree No. 109/2025/ND-CP dated May 20, 2025 of the Prime Minister on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Government Inspectorate.

The Ministry of Education and Training has announced the Draft to amend and supplement a number of articles of the Regulations on the National Excellent Student Competition from August 26 to September 9, seeking comments from units, organizations and individuals to complete the draft, ensuring transparency, objectivity and suitability to reality.
