Naval Academy encourages godchildren ahead of new school year

On the afternoon of August 27, in Khanh Hoa province, a working delegation of the Naval Academy led by Colonel Pham Duc Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Academy, visited and presented gifts to the families of fishermen sponsored by the unit, on the occasion of preparing to enter the new school year 2025 - 2026.

Since 2023, the Naval Academy has sponsored two fishermen's children. They are Doan Bui Uyen Phuong, born in 2014, orphaned by both parents, currently living with her grandparents, whose family has been poor for many years.

The situation of Nguyen Thanh Phuc, born in 2008, his mother is blind in both eyes, his father left when he was young, the mother and son live with their elderly grandparents, the family's situation is extremely difficult.

The delegation gave gifts and encouraged Nguyen Thanh Phuc's mother and children to continue to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies and life.

At the meeting, the delegation of the Academy visited and encouraged the families of the two sponsored children to overcome difficulties and improve their lives. The delegation presented school bags, books and school supplies. On this occasion, the delegation also gave each sponsored child 2 million VND to buy additional supplies for study and life.

This is an activity that demonstrates the sentiment and responsibility of the Naval Academy in accompanying fishermen’s families in difficult circumstances, contributing to strengthening the military-civilian solidarity, consolidating the trust between fishermen and the Navy. This is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
