A modern, “fancy” computer room is not only the desire of teachers but also the dream of students. However, due to limited conditions, the school’s computer room has not been able to meet the needs of teaching and learning.

Faced with this reality, on August 26, 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Women's Union in coordination with the Korean GCS Organization handed over a computer classroom worth more than 851 million VND to Quang Vinh Secondary School.

The computer classroom delivered includes 35 desktop computers for students, 1 computer for teachers, 1 65-inch interactive TV screen. In addition, there are headphones, printers, air conditioners, specialized tables and chairs, etc., serving the teaching of Computer Science and information technology applications.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of GCS Korea in Vietnam Lee Jung Woo emphasized: “The donation of computer classrooms not only creates a modern learning environment but also an important foundation for students to practice information technology skills, nurture their dreams, and strive to become future talents.”

Immediately after the handover ceremony, students of Quang Vinh Secondary School were excited to experience and practice in the modern computer room. They all shared the same feeling of excitement when using the new computer, full of applications, software, and fast processing speed. This modern classroom promises to open up many opportunities for students to practice computer skills, access digital knowledge and stimulate creativity.

The computer classroom was handed over within the framework of the Project "Enhancing digital transformation capacity for secondary school students through computer classrooms applying artificial intelligence (AI)", sponsored by Samsung Korea through GCS Korea, implemented since early August 2025.

Along with supporting Quang Vinh Secondary School, this project also supports 5 other secondary schools in Thai Nguyen province including Tan Hoa, Yen Ninh, Hoa Thuong, Nha Trang and Gia Sang. Each school will be given a modern, fully equipped computer classroom with a total cost of nearly 5 billion VND.

According to the GCS Korea, the project aims to improve the capacity to access and apply digital technology , especially artificial intelligence, for secondary school students; at the same time, provide modern technology infrastructure, contributing to the development of digital skills for the young generation of Vietnam.

The representative of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Women's Union said that this project has practical significance, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning, arousing the spirit of learning and creativity of students in the area. The computer rooms not only help students access information technology but also contribute to improving the quality of education , creating a foundation for them to confidently integrate into the 4.0 era.

GCS stands for Global Civic Sharing, founded in 1998, headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. This organization focuses on supporting poor and vulnerable communities through a variety of activities such as development aid, capacity building, emergency assistance in times of natural disasters, education promotion and social charity activities.
