Shaking hands warmly and sending best wishes to the Consuls General of Cuba, Laos and Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan expressed his joy and honor when they visited and worked in Quang Nam. At the same time, he affirmed that this is an opportunity for Quang Nam to strengthen cooperative relations, mutual understanding, promote exchange activities, and connect with localities and businesses of Cuba, Laos and Cambodia through the Consulates General of the three countries in Ho Chi Minh City.
Comrade Tran Anh Tuan introduced the potentials, advantages, geographical location, revolutionary traditions, culture, people and socio -economic highlights of Quang Nam in recent years.
Currently, Quang Nam has 198 valid FDI projects with a total registered capital of 6.2 billion USD. In the first 6 months of 2024 alone, the province granted 7 new FDI investment licenses with a total registered capital of 124.24 million USD.
In addition, Quang Nam is attracting 40 non-governmental organizations to establish relationships, cooperate and invest, with an average annual investment resource of about 200 billion VND. Regarding labor transfer to regional and world markets, since the beginning of the year, nearly 1,000 workers from the province have been exported abroad.
Regarding international cooperation, Quang Nam has cooperative relations with 11 regions and territories in the world. In particular, Quang Nam has established a twin relationship with Sekong province (Laos). Agencies, departments and localities in the province have also established twin relationships with localities and units of Sekong province. Every year, the two sides regularly organize working delegations to visit, exchange experiences, help each other and promote cooperation and investment activities.

Mr. Chan Sorykan - Consul General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City informed that in recent years, the contact activities between businesses of the two countries have been effective in exporting many Vietnamese agricultural products to Cambodia and vice versa. In October, the Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City will organize a program related to the import and export of agricultural products of the two countries. Quang Nam businesses interested or having demand in this field will be facilitated to participate.
To continue promoting exchange and cooperation activities through suggestions from the Consulate Generals of Cuba, Laos and Cambodia, Mr. Tran Anh Tuan assigned the Quang Nam Department of Foreign Affairs to connect with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs to have specific working sessions in larger forums, especially in the fields of agricultural exports, human resource training and employment. Thereby, finding new opportunities for integration and socio-economic development of the province.
