The photo exhibition “Vietnam – Identity, Humanity and Integration” takes place from June 30 to July 9, 2025 at Building E, Palais des Nations, Switzerland.
The event was organized by the Office of the Permanent Body on Human Rights in coordination with the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to the United Nations and the United Nations Office in Geneva - UNOG.

Attending the opening ceremony were representatives of the United Nations Office in Geneva, delegates representing the United Nations Convention Committees, over 20 ambassadors - heads of representative states of the Human Rights Council, and more than 40 delegates representing countries attending the 59th session of the Human Rights Council.
The exhibition displays vivid artistic photographs, taking viewers to explore the depth of Vietnamese culture and nature, from the majestic beauty of Ha Long Bay, Northwest terraced fields, to heritages such as Hoi An Ancient Town and Cham Towers... Thereby reflecting the harmonious blend between tradition and modernity, along with the cultural diversity of 54 ethnic groups through costumes, daily activities and unique festivals.
Not only introducing the beauty of Vietnamese culture, the photos at the exhibition also clearly depict efforts to ensure basic human rights. For example, images of religious festivals and rituals affirm the commitment to protecting freedom of belief and religion.
The photos also convey a positive message about Vietnam's remarkable achievements in access toeducation , health care and social equality.
As an active and responsible member of the United Nations, Vietnam has continuously improved its legal framework and implemented priority policies for women, children, people with disabilities and ethnic minorities through free education, comprehensive healthcare and economic development in remote areas.
Through the works, the public can clearly see Vietnam's efforts in building a fair, democratic, civilized society, in line with the United Nations' sustainable development goals; contributing to maintaining peace, prosperity and respect for human rights globally.
The exhibition received much praise from diplomats and visitors, for opening up opportunities for the international community to experience a modern, deeply integrated Vietnam, while still preserving its cultural identity and spirit of solidarity – core values that make up national strength.
This photo exhibition marks an important step forward in promoting the image of Vietnamese culture and people, affirming Vietnam's strong determination in protecting and promoting human rights.
The exhibition is considered a "plus point" when Vietnam is actively campaigning for support from the international community for its membership of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the 2026-2028 term.
