Spontaneous restaurants spring up like mushrooms on Luong Son Pass

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên05/03/2023

Luong Son Pass has eye-catching beauty with flat winding roads, with mountains on one side and the blue sea on the other.

Since the pass road was completed, many people have gathered here to exercise, cycle, enjoy the breeze, and sightsee. Therefore, spontaneous shops have also sprung up quickly to sell wholesale.

According to records, there are currently 4-5 shops on the road with tables and chairs on the sidewalk as well as near the cliffs so that customers can easily see the sea directly. Many tables are placed quite precariously by the shop owners, even right next to deep cliffs while these areas are not covered or warned of danger.

Many large-engine motorcycles are parked everywhere on Luong Son pass.

In addition, the haphazard parking of customers also poses a traffic safety risk, as most motorbikes, bicycles and even large-displacement motorcycles are parked on the roadside.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Thang (Nha Trang), who often cycles on this pass, said that sometimes the restaurants are crowded with people, organizing drinking parties, and shouting loudly. Sometimes cars and motorbikes are parked across the pass, causing danger to people passing through this pass.

Not to mention environmental pollution from daily littering and food hygiene and safety of the spontaneous restaurants mentioned above.

It is worth mentioning that many websites introducing the destination of Luong Son Pass have freely "promoted" these spontaneous sidewalk snack shops that are very "attractive" to customers, such as for only 5,000 VND you can have a shrimp rice paper with shrimp paste, or 15,000 VND you can have a piece of grilled dried squid or hot stir-fried corn... "Sitting in the middle of the pass, enjoying snacks and chatting with friends is a quite new experience in the coastal city of Nha Trang", a website specializing in tourism wrote.

The situation of spontaneous stalls appearing on Luong Son Pass for a long time but for some reason has not been corrected by the local government.
