According to the report, Ngoc Ha ward currently has 719 people enjoying preferential policies for people with meritorious services. Inheriting the tradition of "Civilization - Elegance - Seriousness - Affection" of Ba Dinh district in the past, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and political and social organizations of Ngoc Ha ward always pay attention to and take care of the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services and strive to do a good job of gratitude in the area.
On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, with the cooperation of departments, branches, organizations, agencies, units, and enterprises, Ngoc Ha ward mobilized the "Repaying gratitude" Fund to raise more than 300 million VND.
The ward has organized many practical and meaningful activities, such as: Providing emergency subsidies for families with difficult circumstances; organizing free medical examinations and medicine distribution; visiting and giving gifts to families with difficult circumstances, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; renovating, repairing, and upgrading the memorial house for heroic martyrs...
To continue to effectively implement the work of war invalids, martyrs and policies for people with meritorious services in the coming time, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ngoc Ha Ward Luong Xuan Duong suggested that it is necessary to better implement preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution and other preferential policies. At the same time, widely launch the movement "Repaying gratitude", the whole population takes care of people with meritorious services with the motto "The State, the people and those who enjoy preferential policies strive together".
In addition, Ngoc Ha ward also creates the most favorable conditions for war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with meritorious services to continue promoting the will of self-reliance, developing production, improving life and participating in social activities; regularly improving the effectiveness of propaganda and education on traditions, helping the younger generation increasingly deeply perceive and appreciate the great contributions of heroic martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Ngoc Ha Ward also continues to promote the socialization of care for policy families and people with meritorious services; sets out goals and solutions and concretizes them with plans to effectively implement the movement "Repaying gratitude"; focuses on close and synchronous coordination between departments, branches, residential areas, and residential groups of the ward with agencies, businesses, and units of the armed forces stationed in the area, creating a combined strength to develop the movement.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of Ngoc Ha Ward Party Committee visited and presented gifts to Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Nguyen Quoc Thuoc and Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Xuyen (born in 1930).
