Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang inspected damage recovery work at Muong Pon 1 village, Muong Pon commune.

Inspecting the actual work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in the villages of Tin Toc, Linh, and Muong Pon 1, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang requested the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, relevant departments, branches, and armed forces to further accelerate the progress of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, promptly arrange land for resettlement, and stabilize the lives of people in areas affected by flash floods and landslides. At the same time, the organization closely monitors the developments of natural disasters, proactively directs, and resolutely, promptly, and effectively implements response and overcoming measures. Local Party committees and authorities need to step up propaganda and resolutely evacuate households still in areas at high risk of landslides to absolutely ensure the lives and property of the people. After the floods, people's health is affected, so it is necessary to strengthen medical measures, ensure health care for people, especially the elderly and children.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang visited and presented gifts to encourage households severely damaged by flash floods.

For the People's Committee of Dien Bien district, continue to calculate the support plan, overcome the damaged agricultural areas of the people, any areas that cannot be restored soon, change crops so that people have materials to develop production. For the Department of Transport of Dien Bien province, it is necessary to focus on ensuring traffic on National Highway 12 through Muong Pon commune; at points at risk of landslides, it is necessary to come up with a plan to handle immediately because the development of rain and floods is still very complicated.

Visiting and presenting gifts to families whose houses were damaged and who lost loved ones in three villages: Tin Toc, Linh and Muong Pon, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang expressed his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims; and shared the damage and loss of the people of Muong Pon commune. The Deputy Prime Minister encouraged people in the disaster area to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
