Duc An commune was established on the basis of merging Duc An town, Nam Binh commune and Dak N'Drung commune. The commune Party Committee has 19 comrades in the Executive Committee, 8 comrades in the Standing Committee, 6 grassroots Party cells, 44 affiliated Party cells with 905 Party members. Duc An has a natural area of nearly 16,200 hectares with a population of more than 31,300 people.

Dak Song commune was established on the basis of merging Dak Mol commune and Dak Hoa commune. Dak Song has a natural area of over 19,200 hectares and a population of over 11,600 people. The commune party committee has 23 subordinate party cells with 393 party members.
Immediately after its establishment, the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Duc An and Dak Song communes held a conference to approve the working regulations. The Party Committees of the two communes established advisory and support agencies for the Party Committee and received, assigned work, and appointed cadres and civil servants of the Party bloc and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune.

Up to now, the agencies under the Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of the two communes have been operating stably and without interruption. The public administrative centers of the two communes have officially come into operation since July 1, promptly receiving and handling administrative procedures for the people.
The Party Committees of the two communes have proactively prepared for the Commune Congress. The communes have completed draft reports and submitted them to the competent authorities for approval. The Duc An Commune Party Committee plans to hold the congress on July 28-29 and the Dak Song Commune Party Committee plans to hold the congress on July 30-31.

The operation of two-level local government in Duc An and Dak Song communes initially met with many favorable conditions, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency. However, the two communes still encountered some difficulties related to facilities, equipment and digital infrastructure serving the activities.
At the meeting, the leaders of the two communes made a number of recommendations and proposals to the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee. The two communes wished to receive attention and support to operate the two-level local government more synchronously and effectively.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luu Van Trung acknowledged and commended the achievements of the two communes in the first phase of operating the commune-level government model. Preparations for the commune-level Party Congress were proactively carried out.
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the recommendations of Duc An and Dak Song communes. However, the infrastructure conditions of the two localities are much better than those of remote communes. In the coming time, Lam Dong province will focus on investing in upgrading infrastructure for communes in the spirit that communes with more difficulties will be supported first.

Comrade Luu Van Trung is particularly interested in the issue of administrative procedure settlement for the people. Currently, the technology infrastructure has connected the commune, province and central levels, so the progress of the settlement of documents is public and transparent. This requires officials to improve the quality and attitude of serving the people in performing public duties.
Regarding the preparation for the Commune Party Congress, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the two communes to focus on drafting a concise political report, identifying the focus, key points and having breakthrough solutions. The two Party Committees focused on studying the political reports of the higher levels to provide quality comments, worthy of the stature of the Commune Party Committees in the new government model.
