Dr. Vu Tri Thanh, Party Secretary and Director of Thu Duc City Hospital, said: “Not only providing material support, we hope that the market is a valuable source of spiritual encouragement to help patients feel more confident in their treatment journey. The beneficiaries include elderly people living alone, disabled children, poor and near-poor households, and patients in difficult circumstances. In particular, the program also targets patients with chronic diseases requiring long-term treatment, and family breadwinners who have to support their families while raising young children.

Accordingly, each participating patient will receive 16 shopping vouchers. There are about 6,000 gifts in total, including a variety of essential items such as rice, banh chung, ham, and other necessities, each worth between 70,000 and 120,000 VND.

In addition, the hospital also organizes many free activities such as: haircuts, calligraphy, photography, folk games..., as a spiritual gift for patients at the end of the year.

Patient Dam Thi Lan (40 years old, from Nghe An ), shared when participating in the activities at the market: "This year I cannot go back to my hometown, so the Tet atmosphere here makes me very happy and excited. Playing games and also receiving cakes, milk, and sugar, I am very happy."

The number of booths is more than previous years.

According to Dr. Vu Tri Thanh, Party Secretary and Director of Thu Duc City Hospital, the number of booths this year is much higher than previous years. This is a good sign, proving that the program is truly meaningful and effective.

Ms. Nguyen Mai (50 years old, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) - participating in a booth at the market - said: "Every year, my friends and I wrap gifts together to give to patients at Thu Duc City Hospital through this zero-dong market. I feel this is an opportunity for us to help and share with the patients. Every now and then, I invite this person or that person to join in preparing gifts and giving out free meals to everyone. Everyone is very happy and excited."

Although she had just returned from abroad to celebrate Tet with her family, Ms. Ha Lan (52 years old, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), a member of the Chung Tay Charity Kitchen booth - was busy preparing her booth at the market.

Ms. Lan shared: “Seeing more booths every year, everyone in the kitchen and I feel very happy. Happy because the atmosphere is more bustling and cozy, even happier because the patients have more gifts to bring home.”

Dr. Tri Thanh said: “I am deeply moved and grateful to the individuals and organizations who have been involved with the program with all their hearts. We understand that although they are still facing many difficulties somewhere, in the end they still choose to accompany the hospital to help patients, I am very grateful for that.”
