On August 20, the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong commune ( Quang Ngai province) organized the first Zero-VND Market at the commune's central market, attracting thousands of participants.

The market has 7 booths with many essential items such as agricultural products, vegetables, rice, clothes, shoes, books, etc. contributed by the Commune People's Committee, officials, schools and Xo Dang people, to share with people in difficult circumstances.

The atmosphere of the zero-dong market is bustling and crowded. People are excited to choose fresh vegetables, new sandals, bags of rice or shirts to bring home to use.
Everyone is happy to choose their own necessities and items according to their needs without having to pay.

The bright faces and smiles of the people make the market more warm and humane.
Ms. Y Le (Tu Mo Rong commune) said that upon hearing about the zero-dong market, she and her child arrived early in the morning. At the clothing stall, she happily chose a few outfits for herself.
“The clothes I chose at the market were very beautiful. I didn’t spend any money to buy them. The zero-dong market is very meaningful because of the spirit of sharing with the needy,” said Ms. Y Le.

At the market, Chairman of Tu Mo Rong Commune People's Committee Tran Quoc Huy and the digital transformation working group trained people on livestream sales skills, helping them promote agricultural products on social networks and expand the consumption market.
On this occasion, the commune also presented 17 hole digging machines to 17 villages to serve agricultural production; presented 10,000 pine seedlings to help people plant forests.

Mr. Tran Quoc Huy said that the commune has 95% of the population being Xo Dang people, mainly growing agricultural products and medicinal herbs but facing difficulties in consumption.
Organizing a zero-dong market associated with digital transformation aims to support poor households, while helping people apply technology to find customers, increase income, and build local specialty brands.

Tu Mo Rong Commune Party Secretary Vo Trung Manh said that in the coming time, the locality will maintain monthly market sessions and continue to support people to sell goods through e-commerce platforms.
