In recent years, the implementation of the Project "Sustainable agricultural development according to the value chain for the period 2021 - 2025" has achieved many positive results, improving added value, income and people's lives.
The crop structure has shifted strongly towards high-yield, high-quality varieties that adapt to climate change and meet market demand. Aquaculture and fisheries have grown quite well.
In order to enhance the value and affirm the brand of local products, up to now, Nam Trach commune has developed 8 3-star OCOP products, mainly in the group of medicinal and food products. In which, Nhu Oanh Essential Oil Cooperative is the owner of 4 3-star OCOP products, including: Five-veined cajuput essential oil, tea tree essential oil, lemongrass essential oil, Java citronella essential oil.

Currently, the Cooperative is producing and cooperating with farmers in the area of 50 hectares of medicinal plants. The Cooperative always pays attention to improving product quality, improving packaging designs; promoting and introducing products through trade fairs, e-commerce channels, etc.
Thanks to that, the cooperative's products are always loved and chosen by customers, affirming the brand's position in the market inside and outside the province and has been exported to countries such as Germany, Hungary, China, etc.
Vice Chairman of Nam Trach Commune People's Committee Doan Ngoc Nhan said: “The development of OCOP products in the commune has achieved many successes in the past time, contributing to improving people's lives and changing the face of the countryside. Entering the 2025 - 20230 term, the commune strives to develop 2 - 3 OCOP products. To achieve the set goals, promote the potential and advantages of the hilly and midland areas, mountainous areas, and coastal areas of the locality, the commune will organize planning and development of each production area associated with crops and key products. Forming concentrated production areas associated with the application of science and technology; growing flowers, fruit trees, and annual industrial crops in hilly and midland areas; specializing in afforestation and industrial crop cultivation in mountainous areas; exploiting and raising, processing aquatic products, and fishing logistics services in coastal areas...". |
Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Oanh, Director of Nhu Oanh Essential Oil Cooperative, shared: “Nam Trach Commune has a climate and soil that is very suitable for developing medicinal plant production areas. Taking advantage of that, our Cooperative has invested in planting and processing essential oils from lemongrass and cajuput trees. Product quality is always the top priority of the Cooperative. Therefore, we strictly check everything from soil quality to seedlings, medicinal plant planting, essential oil production, etc.
Thanks to that, in addition to successfully building OCOP products, the cooperative has a certificate of qualified cosmetic production facility to self-declare products. With the results achieved and the attention and support of local leaders and authorities, we will continue to expand the production scale, striving to build 4-star OCOP products this year."

Promoting the potential and advantages of coastal people, in recent times, members of Nhan Trach Seafood Processing Cooperative have taken advantage of fresh seafood resources to process diverse and rich products.
In particular, the cooperative has two 3-star OCOP products: Nhan Nam fish sauce and tamarind squid. These products are consumed in the domestic market and some neighboring countries, such as Thailand, Laos, etc., contributing to promoting the specialties of Nam Trach homeland to friends from all over the world.
Speaking of Nam Trach, it is impossible not to mention the 3-star OCOP products of Phuc Loc guava and Bamovina bamboo shoots. Taking advantage of the potential and advantages of Nam Trach commune, Bamovina Organic Agriculture Cooperative has boldly invested in planting 26 hectares of bamboo shoots, a plant considered the king of bamboo shoots.
Thanks to the attention to care techniques, in the harsh summer sun of Quang Tri , the bamboo shoots still grow and develop well. Each mother bamboo tree can produce up to 30-35 seedlings/year, planting once can yield harvests for 10-15 years.

Director of Bamovina Organic Agricultural Cooperative Tran Thu Yen Nhi said: “Our cooperative’s Bamovina bamboo shoots are recognized as 3-star OCOP products in 2024. Determining the long-term strategy of creating Bamovina bamboo shoots with high quality and safety for consumers, not only meeting domestic demand but also for export, we have focused on investing in and building clean growing processes and modern processing and preservation technology. Therefore, the cooperative has a bamboo shoot raw material area recognized to meet VietGAP standards and a factory that meets international standards ISO 22000”.
