Police investigate the case of bonuses that have not reached the hands of sepak takraw athletes. |
After more than 2 years of waiting, Jo Sueb Sak, a Thai sports legend, decided to bring the case of the lost 1.9 million baht prize money to the authorities to request a resolution.
According to Jo Sueb Sak, the athletes were promised a bonus of 2 million baht each, but in reality only received 100,000 baht after a deduction of 1.9 million baht. This caused great disappointment within the team, as the athletes' efforts were not properly rewarded.
More than two years have passed, and the bonus payment issue has not been resolved. The Sepak Takraw Association of Thailand has set up a fact-finding committee, but to date, the athletes have not received specific information about the bonus payment.
Jo Sueb Sak and the athletes lost patience and decided to file a lawsuit with the police to reclaim their legal rights. On August 19, the athletes officially filed a complaint at the Khlong Luang Police Station in Pathum Thani Province.
The legend of Thai Sepak Takraw asked those who kept the prize money of the athletes to return it quickly, because this is a legitimate right. At the same time, Mr. Thana Chaiprasit, President of the Sepak Takraw Association of Thailand, also called on the relevant parties to resolve the issue soon to protect the reputation and interests of Thai sports.
