The letter reads: Tran Hung Dao Primary School would like to thank parents for trusting, choosing and registering their children to study at the school in the new school year. The companionship of parents is a great joy and also a great source of motivation for the school's teaching staff to constantly strive to build a safe, modern and humane educational environment, where each student is respected, loved and developed comprehensively.

Dr. To Nhi A talks with parents during the seminar

At the talk, Dr. To Nhi A, Educational Psychology Expert, Lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, emphasized that supporting children to go to school does not stop at academic achievement, but more importantly, it helps children feel safe, connected with teachers and friends, find joy and happiness when studying. Therefore, parents need to care for and encourage their children from simple skills such as keeping things, knowing how to take care of themselves, while respecting their needs to express themselves and giving them opportunities to confidently assert themselves. The topic also goes into depth to analyze the outstanding psychological characteristics of first graders so that parents are ready, patient and accompany them properly.

10 things parents should do when their children enter first grade

At the talk, psychologist Dr. To Nhi A sent 10 messages to first grade parents to help their children have physical and mental health, be ready to go to school and have happy days at school:

- Talk about positive, fun things about your child's school.

- Prepare your child for the stresses he or she may encounter at school.

- Help your child improve their ability to concentrate, participate in activities other than studying with them

- Improve children's independence

- Educate children about collective and community awareness

- Train children's sense of responsibility, so that they can unite and integrate well with the group.

- Teach your child to speak up when they need help.

- Help your child become familiar with letters and books.

- Let your child prepare his/her own school supplies.

- Take care of your child's health, train them to eat and sleep well, so they can go to school healthy.
